As soon there is something negative about sony, guess who pops by.... Dont know your reason for that but its a bit tiresome. Why didnt you post PA s benchmark test where it came out on top. Guess thats no fun for you because you seem to thrive on the endless discussions about which phone is best and how bad sony really is. |

Battery life is decent if you ask me, I don't get why people call it disappointing if it lasts 2 days and 5 hours in general usage according to gsmarena.

I don't know what is the significant of the battery test when My Xperia Z can last longer than most of other smartphones. Xperia Z can last up to 24 hours with moderate to heavy use. Note: I never turn off any settings except for NFC (GPS always ON, Bluetooth always ON and communicate with my Sony smartwatch, 3G/wifi always ON).
Why do I need to care about the battery test when I don't have any problem with the battery ? and I never use powerbank. |

You are absolutely right. The battery life on the ZL is actually worse than Z1 and by the end of the day still have about 30-40% battery left with medium usage. 30 pus emails a day, about 50 text, about 30 minutes web browsing and 30 min playing games with an hour of phone calls. |

^ the raw numbers look disappointing when compared to others, that's all.
in real life usage, my sony phones have always outlasted any of my friends with their samsungs and iphones..
like i said, i'm not concerned at all and with stamina mode turned on, it will last much longer with real world usage. Note to those who have never used stamina mode, but it's only "effective" once the screen is off for a few minutes. If your screen is always on or you're checking your phone every 2 minutes, it's the same as not using stamina mode at all.

Even the LG G2 managed a good 62hrs despite a larger display. Sony really need to sort this crap out.
So now there will be those unlucky enough to get both a bad screen on top of disappointing battery? I hope this will be sorted in the Xperia Z2, seems Sony always finds a way to mess up. This trend has to stop now.
Cheers.

Comparing it to the XZ, a BIG jump from 2330 to 3000 mAh in batter capacity, it's just really disappointing. Talk time is obviously much better, but video playback is only a wee bit longer and web browsing even got a wee bit shorter life time. Decent for some, but if they put a bigger battery capacity people would be expecting a lot more. That's how it is a disappointment. |

@bonovox - hmm.. i wouldn't say viewing angles are crap. they seem ok to me? sure the colors aren't as vibrant as head on but at least they aren't turning negative colors. I'm actually happy with that.. but i'm not the type that cares about viewing angles.
@tsepz_gp - do you ever have anything good to say about sony? or do you really just pop around when there's not such glowing news to point out? i kind feel sorry for you if doing so gives you pleasure. there's gotta be more to life

That would be if you are looking at the specs, not the real world usage. Specs are only a basis of measurement, not the actual we get, still in the end battery life is decent.

They don't have to sort anything. There is no problem with the battery. My Xperia can last longer than Samsung. Go and ask around, you will hear that Sony's phone will always have decent battery.
about viewing angle, Z1 has great viewing angle close to Z Ultra and better than Samsung Note 3 that change colour at the extreme angle. |

As someone who was a hardcore SE fan? It actually disappoints me, a lot, seeing many of the same mistakes in what is now Sony Mobile. If you don't like it then you can always ignore what I post.
