I hope it does well here. Sony will start taking India as a serious market. We might start getting offers/freebies like the ones in European market. It will shut up all the Sony critics amongst my friends.
Every one from my office place now know that I am waiting for this phone!!!

@Away,how the hell do you know people won't buy the HTC One?? Can you see pre sales before they happen?? Stupid comment
There has been no hype about it whatsoever in London. And it has no stand-out feature. The one is did supposedly have, the camera, has been found to be not so special. The design and build quality should be good, but that didn't exactly save them with the One X. The screen should be good, but it was also good on the One X, and again, it didn't save them. Something similar can be said for the audio. HTC also price their phones right up there with the S4 (if it's roughly the same launch price as the S3), iP5 and now the Z. The former 2 have large fan bases, the latter not so much, but is curious to most thanks to the water/dust resistance and an amazing design.
Not exactly a stupid comment anymore, eh?
Still pretty stupid, Htc were in the same place when they launched the Desire, yet it managed to turn things around for them.
Aren't you one of the many who said we must not judge the Xperia Z earlier due to Test phones being used? The One was announced almost a week ago and yet hear you are already drawing conclusions, had anyone done the same to a newly announced Sony you and other sony fanboys would be reminding us that it's too early to make any judgements.
The fact that the One was voted the best device shown at MWC (the Xperia Z being one of the contenders to this prize) says a lot already
Anyway, doministry has been begging us to stop this so let's stick to talking about the Xperia Z and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ELSE.
Your point about judging early is completely invalid besides maybe the camera. And everyone judged the camera of the Z before it came out so...
Anyway, your point is invalid because I am not criticising the phone, rather, saying although it is an amazing phone, like the One X was when it came out (besides the battery life and heating issues), it did not sell well.
So, try again.
Anyway, on topic, has anyone found out where the water indicators are on the Z yet?

Got my Z today. Overall I'm very happy with it. No issues regarding the display. Screen does NOT look washed out, and somewhat surprisingly delivers pretty decent blacks too. This phone so far is lag free and a joy to use.

Great news RamU!!! I think there might have been some faulty screens in the initial batches. Or maybe some calibration issues. 4 more days to go for the launch in India!!! Tooo excited on buying a new phone after almost 4 years.
BTW people using XZ, how is the sound quality of the headphone supplied in the box? Does it have good bass?

I don't know why but I'm still worried about the heat. I don't play games because of heat. When that day will come when I can play games on a smartphone!

There is no overheating issue. It gets about as warm as Xperia S/T/V etc. Nobody has any complains regarding heat. |

As always..whenever Sony releases a new phone theres always nit picking and complaints..but when people get their hands on the phone. They are happy with it. Thats why I always say wait until you get your hands on the phone before making any judgements. |

I have used XS for gaming and it gets hot while playing games, but it is not uncomfortable to handle during gaming. I guess with the faster processors, phones will continue giving out heat. There is no possibility of using active cooling in phones. There is no way out.

This is an actual user review of the retail unit of the xperia z not a review unit. They said the screen looks great and has nice contrast. One user said the screen of the retail unit of the xperia z is much better than the ones in the shop.
