Hey Steve...
goto http://www.facebook.com/mobile/ and there should be a unique email address for your account to send photos to.
then goto applications-Web pub. on the satio
Then Options - New website - Other - then enter the email details and a name for the service.
to upload just touch a photo - send as - To Web - and the service you created should now show up.
let me know if you have probs setting it up...
Thanks a lot! It is working perfectly!

I am very confused why the silver versions are apparently on sale at CPW. If it's firmware related, the silver ones have the same software!
Could it be a lack of stock? Mind you, if SE is confirming this then I am even more confused.
It is good to see that the problem has been highlighted. I've written about loads of issues on here, as have others, while some people have insisted the phone is perfect. It is not. Now it's known that it is not and SE will hopefully issue a firmware update to solve most, or all, of these problems.
And that will give us a phone that is actually quite usable, as long as you can get on with S60v5 and all of its quirks!

Goldenface that memory problem could be firmware related. I had a Nokia Symbian phone(forget which one)some years back and it kept saying memory full showing zero memory left. I had nothing on the phone and moved everything to memory card. So yes i think it is a bug. |

jmcomms - Same on the Vodafone Satio forum. I've had problems my Satio (on my 2nd) and others have not.
As expected people are different and use phones differently in different environments.
I'm also of the opinion that hopefully SE will sort this out.. to give me a better working Satio, which I'd be more than welcome to use.

I have set up the e-mail address and stuffs.....thanks a ton!
but the access point it is using is MMS for which i am being charged and here in dubai, it is very expensive. is there any way to define the access point as WIFI?

for some reason it doesn't ask for connection type, probably an oversight, so if you set the email address as a contact then upload via email pop3 if you have a pop3 account then you can connect via wifi, hope they fix this, all my other functions ask for connection type this doesn't |

Thats bizarre !
I visited 4 CPW stores in the UK on Saturday to buy a silver PAYG Satio for my girlfriend to be told it had been withdrawn from sale only 24 hours previously. Where did you see a silver Satio still on sale.
As for the reasoning, i talked to staff in all CPW stores and even staff in Tesco's own instore mobile phone shop. One CPW guy said the Satio's had been reported as very buggy. But, he went on to say not enough in his opinion to have them all recalled. That he couldnt understand. The rest all said they'd either had none, or only the odd one Satio returned or complained about.
I dont understand it either. As far as many people may not believe, i have absolutely no problems with my Satio like other people have reported. Mine is very stable, has never crashed and needed the batter to be removed. The battery life is fine, no sound or video issues, nothing. All i have to complain about is the early SE firmware which has the usual standby themes issues.
Im starting to believe some people faking faults in order to give the Satio and S60 a bad name across this forum.

People DO invent faults to get a refund/change phone, but there are many faults with the Satio. Okay, not serious faults - mainly niggles - and I believe they're nearly all fixable.
The problem is, I am not sure how many will be fixed. The SE coded stuff could be optimised, the camera could have algorithms changed etc - but the core UI is not likely to change, although I'd be very happy if the kinetic scrolling was added and the new (Nokia) email client. Of course, that's somewhat unlikely to happen unless Nokia is feeling generous!

I have recently noticed something. Whenever i connect to a wifi network, and leave the phone idle for a few mins, the wifi turns off by itself. Is this a battery saving technique or just a bug.
any1 else noticed this?

So let me see if i get this right,
Some folks are dissing SE, with fake faults, sending their phones away for repair, and doing without their expensive mobiles just to make SE look bad? O for gods sake.

You'll find people do this with ANY phone they don't like - it's not a problem solely to do with Sony Ericsson.
And if someone wants a refund, why would they send it away for repair??? Only people who genuinely have a problem but want the phone would do that.
Also, can you try a bit harder to get the quoting right, as I didn't actually say what you highlighted!

Umm yes. They are. It wouldnt be the first time. People get very protective or apathetic towards something they love or loathe.
@ naveedaziz83 - not sure, ive left my home network connected to my Satio for hours before running in the background and it hasnt disconnected.
