Hi guys, saw this on Sony's India facebook page.... It's a teaser for a new Remarkable camera technology coming soon...
All the latest phones including XZ1 and XA1 plus are already launched and I doubt this is for XZ1 compact as previous 2 compacts were not launched in India...
Can a new cameraphone be coming sooner than we all think???

Well as the source mentioned the update came toward the end of October. and here is a bit of info on new flag.One of the colors will be called "Sonic black" |

My X Performance is dead so I had a look at the available Sony phones and didn't find anything that I'd like. XZP is too big and I'm scared to buy the XZ1 Compact for the distortion, even some of the older phones like the XZ are still too expensive for what they offer. I've really got my fingers crossed for some truly desirable phones in 2018, I've got an Xperia X coming tomorrow so that should keep me going until IFA next year. I was so close to the XZP but the rumors of the next one at MWC have stopped me. I have my heart set on the next Compact though since Sony is back to putting the top end specs in. |

Might be a bit soon for a new Compact, although if the rumours are true, and they release a slew of new phones in 2018 then I am REALLY looking forward to seeing the new design.
I think it's safe to say that the omni-balance design, although attractive, does not excite many reviewers and I'm pretty excited to see what they're going to conjure up.

I hope Sony stick to LCD for their 2018 flagships. After seeing pixel 2 xl and LG V30's display drama It has reinforces my belief that high quality LCD is much MUCH better than 2nd class oled.
Move to oled when JDI perfect their own oled tech. JDI is going to produce their own oled in 2019 so I don't want to see any xperia phone with oled screen before 2019 . I don't want Sony to rush and use problematic oled panels. I don't want Sony to go through this kind of bad press.

I dont stand this lcd amoled poled war.
i have a xz1 and its absolutely a nice screen. Every screen on the market is almost good to watch as any other.
my lcd sceen has deep black and nice color. i put the black side by side with a note 8 and the note8 wins for just a little bit, almost unnoticeable.
i think people make a lot of drama about the screens... |
