Sony please give an announcement for India!!!  
I hope Sony launches this in March... By April the excise duties are set to increase by Rs. 2000/- There might be some issue with the phone's prices in India.

Hi king James, do me a favour. In and download an tu tu benchmark, load it and test your phone. During testing, do you see real black colour on the screen? I believe this is most likely the black colour of the xperia z. So in conclusion, most likely is sony is doing some calibration to their screen. They have the capability to make their screen this black. So do not whine and complain that sony screen suck. Most likely they will come up with firmware to fix this, or they did this for a season.

There has been no hype about it whatsoever in London. And it has no stand-out feature. The one is did supposedly have, the camera, has been found to be not so special. The design and build quality should be good, but that didn't exactly save them with the One X. The screen should be good, but it was also good on the One X, and again, it didn't save them. Something similar can be said for the audio. HTC also price their phones right up there with the S4 (if it's roughly the same launch price as the S3), iP5 and now the Z. The former 2 have large fan bases, the latter not so much, but is curious to most thanks to the water/dust resistance and an amazing design.
Not exactly a stupid comment anymore, eh?
EDIT: If the rumoured 4.8" Sony phone is a reality, then I hope HTC have something else up their sleeve. They are my second favourite Android OEM. If would be sad for them to go.

Still pretty stupid, Htc were in the same place when they launched the Desire, yet it managed to turn things around for them.
Aren't you one of the many who said we must not judge the Xperia Z earlier due to Test phones being used? The One was announced almost a week ago and yet hear you are already drawing conclusions, had anyone done the same to a newly announced Sony you and other sony fanboys would be reminding us that it's too early to make any judgements.
The fact that the One was voted the best device shown at MWC (the Xperia Z being one of the contenders to this prize) says a lot already
Anyway, doministry has been begging us to stop this  so let's stick to talking about the Xperia Z and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ELSE.

Can't agree more! This thread has gone to the drains. People stooping to whole new levels to get their points across and get everyone to agree to whatever crap they post. The very people who accuse others of being fanboys of a certain brand are ironically fanboys themselves, but of a different brand. People who want actual info about this phone should head over to XDA forums, the discussions there are much much more mature and open minded. Actual users discussing about the merits of the phone; the pros and cons, no hater rants, no bullshit.
