This is a pure SE error not Symbian

I don't have this problem either.

@Dephanix: I find it very unusual but, seriously, I don't have any major issues with the Satio. Maybe it has got to do with its "cooperation" with some British networks or maybe it's got to do with the manufacturing week. Mine was built on week 40.

No major issues with my Satio either. Generic firmware.
I reboot every few days because S60 slowly eats away available RAM; but haven't been forced to do one in quite some time. My new backup phone, a G900; made me do it twice yesterday.

Apple, RIM and Palm all have had several bugs with their new releases and the tech blogs brush them aside until a new FW is out; at which point they demand the readers say "Hallelujah!" and proclaim that as the greatest day in the history of mankind.

I guess SE is judged by a different yardstick.

They stop selling Satio? This is really a joke.
I also have some minor issues with this first public firmware phone but for me this is nothing compared to what I've been through with M600/P990/P1/G900. In retrospective UIQ 3 was just torture and they should have all been drawn from the market!
Whenever UIQ 3 lost internet connection caused by bad reception you would have to restart the phone for getting connection back. I use Satio in my car for music an navigation and phone calls in between. Switching between those functions works flawless, it never crashed when doing this and whenever I lose internet reception it comes back as soon as it is available again.

I don't know about all of you, but ever since I got my N900 three days ago, I haven't even THOUGHT about the Satio, let alone look at it. The ONLY thing the satio has is the 12.1 MPX advantage/Xenon flash. THAT IS IT!!!! Multi tasking is a joke, the media player freezes if you pause a video in full screen, Google Maps freezes from time to time, not to mention the lack of US 3G. I've been a SE fan since the GH388/R520/T68M/i/P800 days and I can say that unless the X10 is BETTER than Iphone/N900, this company is done for. $920 for a satio, $565 for an N900 and the N900 beats it by a country mile. What a joke. Nokia did good, and this N900 can only get better. It's AS CLOSE to the Iphone as I have seen ANY phone get to, and that's saying something, not to mention the multi tasking and SUPER resistive screen.

NOT to mention, Xvid videos downloaded off torrent sites need NO conversion at all. Runs smoothly and ZERO buffering issues. Move the slider to ANY point of the video and it starts playing immediately. Bluetooth stereo streaming while watching videos have ZERO Lag as well as no effect of the fluidity of the video itself.

WHY, WHY didn't SE optimize S60v5 so they could showcase this in their FLAGSHIP Multimedia (what a joke!) model Satio. TERRIBLE, just terrible.

I sent some Q's to SE support earlier.
One of the questions I sent was regarding flash (animated) wallpaper.
I also pointet to the video that is included in the phone "Product Communications Video" (after 44 sec.)
The answer I got was (in swedish)...
"10. Bakgrunden i telefonen har ingen animering så det verkar tyvärr vara filmen som visar fel.
Translated...
10. The background in the phone don't have any animations so it seems like it's the video that is wrong.

=(

Thanks for the reply, even if the answer is not what I was hoping for.

I tried a N900 before the Satio and thanks God I took a Satio
The N900 is so cheapo compared to the high quality materials of Satio...

Are you kidding me? AT BEST, they are alike.. the N900 has WEIGHT behind it that makes it feel like it's worth something.. the Satio has ZERO metal parts, heck my X1 felt more expensive than either the N900 or the Satio. For the PRICE, the Satio is just crap. My N900 ran out of battery as I haven't been home to charge it since I got it, and I had to use the Satio as a standby phone. Ugh! Remembered the following:

1. Crap BT pairing with HBHDS980s - it didn't remember the pairing, since the 980s had been paired with the N900 after the satio.
2. Google talk wouldn't connect - some weird error message even though EDGE was active.
3. On an incoming call, pressing the answer button on the screen came up with a "not allowed". WTF?
4. Phone crashed after that.
5. On restart, camera app hung.
6. had transferred my 16GB card t the Satio, and remembered that YUP, my xVID downloaded torrent of this weeks smallville was NOT gonna play on the Satio, SE's MULTIMEDIA POWERHOUSE (what a crock!). I could see it if I wanted to, but would have to wait what, like 3 hours for 45 min video to convert to Mp4. Now try explaining that to an Iphone mom.

I just hope I can find someone on ebay to buy this Satio off me before it becomes worthless. What a shame SE. X10 IS your last chance! I am NOT holding out much hope.

@alinefx: Have fun with your N900 + the 12 Megapixel Camera you have to carry around now
I think you miss the point of the Satio. I prefer my tablet pc compared to a N900

Hi,

Is it possible to upload pictures / videos directly to Facebook from Satio (NOT through MMS)? The ActiveX version is not loading in, only the loading "animation" can be seen and if I choose the "Simple uploader" it opens the page, I can choose the picture to upload, mark that I have the rights to use the picture, but when I click on the upload button, nothing happens...

Is it me, who is doing something wrong, or it is just not working?

My phone memory is almost full but I haven't been storing / saving anything on it knowingly. When I try and delete stuff from the phone memory there is nothing there to delete. Is this a bug?

Gold
Try clearing web browser cache, also move messages to memory card. Rather install apps in memory card.

Hey Steve...
goto http://www.facebook.com/mobile/ and there should be a unique email address for your account to send photos to.

then goto applications-Web pub. on the satio
Then Options - New website - Other - then enter the email details and a name for the service.

to upload just touch a photo - send as - To Web - and the service you created should now show up.

let me know if you have probs setting it up...

It's a pitty though...you're always in the landscape mode.
