Yes. If you want to patch it you need firmware version R###028

Can anybody give me a link, where I can find a CDA generator for C901? And then what should I do with it, to be able to reflash my phone with SEUS?

Yes, of course. But I don't even know what should I search, and don't know how should I use it.

Type Sony Ericsson CDA generator into google and you have it in seconds of searching for it.

IMO 028 is the best firmware I haven't tried the latest Nordic firmware but don't want to because I've heard that firmware version blocks flash menus and means you can't customize your main menu. Plus, version 028 is the main firmware version that everyone uses and all c901 patches are made for generic 028 firmware, so it's definitely the best IMO.

Hey, if I wanna flash my newly bought c901 with the cam driver that was posted by Raider, do I really need to flash the MAIN + FS first? I have R1GA028 in my phone on purchase.

edit: Can someone kindly explain the difference between RED/BROWN concept? When I'm downloading the Main Generic files from 4shared, I saw RED. Does it make a difference, and also, I'm in Malaysia, so which file name should I look for? =/

The camdriver has nothing to do with the firmware. You can install it on any c901 with a2uploader in IFS/settings/camera. A red phone is customer standard and brown is developer so you can copy files from the phone, the .ic file for example, and use permanent patching.

I see.. But how come a2uploader doesn't seem to work properly for my phone? I can't open the IFS/settings/camera folder nor can I locate it.

Edit: This is what I get when I connect my phone to the PC.

Press file System Tool and then at the same time connect the usb to the phone AND hold down the keys 2+5. Remeber that the phone must have been off for at least 30 seconds before you do this.

I tried that. The result was it saying that BOOTROM mode was detected. No IFS or anything of the sort.

You're not running the latest version. Download the V3 version.
