It is a shame the Sony Smartwatch 2 didn't live up to all the rumored specs prior to its launch. If only battery tech could advance far enough, we could have amazing smartwatches with extreme high res screens and you wouldn't have to charge 'em every few days.
Ah well, I'm waiting to see what Smartwatch 3 is all about My guess is Sony knew there wouldn't be anything special this year from the competition, so they didn't push any envelopes with Smartwatch 2. Apple is supposedly going to release their version late next year, so my guess is Sony will truly up their game then. |

I think SW2 is good enough in terms of display performance, battery life, design etc. I saw it at MAE, really like it.
I just wish that the bT headphone could be intergrated into next generation of SW.

I think the only downside for me in SW2 is lack of BT4 LE... all new phones now come with it to have better sync. while having good battery life... I don't know how Sony managed to increase battery life without going for BT4 LE which is very good and good engineering too.. but BT4 LE is not just good for the watch, but also for the smartphone it self... maybe Sony decided to reduce the sync. times between the devices...

The problem with Sony is marketing. They are not very good at marketing. If they market it well, Sony smartwatch will be popular. I have Sony smartwatch 1, and everywhere I go, people will be impressed with that and most of them are looking forward to buy one. Strangely, they are surprised to see this think exist. |

Which region are you from? Sony is very bad at their marketing, especially for NA. But they have recently axed their PR and marketing department for SCEA shows that they know its a problem, especially when PS4 is coming out. They hired a firm that used to so some crazy ads and marketing for google I think. Everything regarding the PS4 seems to be heading the right direction. I think they said that they are also planning on increasing the marketing budget for their mobile division. |

2 days till the big day
SAR is also hinting a Contax like AF system for the NEX, which is a Z-axis in-sensor AF that would enable Autofocusing on all nonAF lenses like the Zeiss distagon glasses, this also seem to explain the magic behind the ILC prototype that can support A and E mount lenses that was shown before.

lol, it was a fake someone put together a while back.
I'd LOVE it if Honami had a pop-up flash which could bounce back like my RX100, but sadly it doesn't
Still, very much looking forward to seeing it in just 2 days!!!!!!!! |

its not a popup. it's a xenon flash adapter. looks fake, but could have potential if it could work that way. pairs via NFC and attaches to the magnetic ports.

if it attached to the magnetic ports it would be on the lower edge of the device and everyone knows you're not supposed to flash from below. It's just rude.

It is funny to see all the accessories Ideas.
I hope Sony has many in their sleeves, you know what i hope for...
For the time being, i woud say that if they create a flash to work with the lens, they may probably look for something that can adapt to any android/ios phone, so it would probably be "plugged" (wirelessly) to the lens accessory itself, maybe with a standlaone battery and separated (wireless?) charger
