Hi to all - I am new to the forum and have recently aquired the K750i phone having been a devoted Nokia user for over 6 years. So far I am impressed although, as with all phones there are a couple of gripes.

Is it possible to have a different ring tone and message tone with each profile?

If I put on a profile to accept no calls (as opposed to using the divert) if I switch the phone off and back on the first thing that happens is that the profile is updated and the acceptance of calls is switched back to all calls???

Is there a way of getting the phone to pick up other details from contacts in Outlook other than just telephone numbers and email addresses. For example Birthdays and postal addresses?

I am using the first revision of firmware on O2

Can anyone recommend a good Java HTML browser for the phone?

Just thought I'd note this:

i dropped my K750 last night, only about a metre onto a wooden table. It made a good noise but luckily felt absolutely fine, nothing loose or whatever. Tried to make a call this morning and it seems ear speaker is broken - I can't hear a thing!

It works on speaker phone and with my basic handsfree kit so I phoned orange and they will deliver a new phone this evening.

All in all then, it'll work out OK. I guess I just need to be more careful....but my last phone was the unbreakable nokia 5210, so its abit of a change. I wish these tech phones were a little more sturdy.

Apart from that I agree, its expensive toys, be carefull with it

i have a question, will a firmware upgrade take care of the single tap name sarch? is dont like to scroll down searching for names. it is much easier to be able to type the first two or three letters to find the name youre looking for. btw, i have the china version. tia

to update:

My new phone was delivered last night. It feels more solid and has less creaks than the old one (even though they are an identical model).

Orange told me to keep hold of the battery, SIM and memory stick. I did that and when I looked in the new phone, it had another memory card in it!!

Great service from Orange...!

Multi character search already works for EU version of the firmware. Its only the chinese/asian version that does not have it. It was same situation for K700 and S700, so its possible you will never ever see it in K750. But possibly in some newer SE phones later this year.

Don't know why SE seem to always skip multicharacter search in chinese/asian version of their firmwares.
