Regarding my post from the plane yesterday... the pilot was a friend of mine and he said that Cellphones DO NOT interfere with their communication nor navigational systems... it is actually more of a request from network providers because their cellsites get confused.

agree with dlreyes,
i do not think that the cellphones interfere with the instrumentation / electronics of the plane.
i think the request the passengers to turn off the cellphones and electronic items most especially during takeoff/landings is to avoid any possibility that something may happen and it 'may' be attributed to items in question |
