@bronxdude. Most likely it will be released globaly as the 'i' in a8i means international.

That is a very good looking phone if you ask me. I don't think it will be release globally as the OS is for the Chinese market isn't it?
I like the way SE are staying with the cool design of the X10, although I'd like to see more metal used in the materials.

Isn't it an Android based OS for China Telecom? I don't think it will be receiving the same updates as our X10s will it?

I won't go for a EDGE only phone since at this moment, my c901 is my modem as well..... |

history about Ophone...
they have their own revision release...china mobile site claim its at version 2 now.
what make me get interested....is SE using Mediatek chip or all those Qualcomm chip they are using now....hope its not the former...only mention this because of the TV function which commonly found in many Mediatek based phone |

We'll not see it outside China.
On a seperate note the X10 has finally made it into China (posters on every bus stop and some stores have dummy models already) without twitter and facebook integration but with Chinese social network integration and includes SE's playnow store. It doesn't have a special OS just the standard android with UXP and doesn't support SCDMA but the same as the other X10i s, WCDMA/HSPA.
