Here here. I cant wait for this phone. I want the gold one looks beautiful. Is there a video calling camera on it though as i cant see it. Im sure its no big deal if not cos i have made one video call ever and that was just testing. | |

as of now no one knows about the vid call camera. We couldn't come to a conclustion so that point is stil open to disscuss I guess...

3.5mm headphone jack? dont they have that adapter the goes in the pop port and it has a mic and a 3.5mm jack

I look here almost every day to find out new info's about C905, not to look at some guys measuring every pixel on the screen ("yeaa.. innovshit has 1 more pixel than C905..and this thing makes him god of all phones")..or C905 being put down cuz it dosent have a Sony BRAVIA TV of 60" as a main screen.. dudes.. grow up.

The fastport is like an AIO. Sure, the 3.5 mm jack will be well received, but we can live without that. There on the market are adaptors for 3.5 mm jack, and works great.

Mate, seriously  ... I'm pissed off about that off topic since before K850 hit the market, and now same thing with C905. If I want to know more about all features of other manufacturer releases, I will go on their forums, and prais their "baby". We only can compare those 8 Mpx phones (and same with 5 Mpx) only on camera, not on other features, because the camera is their common feature. And those insults are my personal point of view about other phones, that I dislike so much. Here we should talk about C905, and what this phone offers to end user. No one cares about number of pixels and colors when the screen is just awesome, like the rest of new phones. To be everybody happy, and Sony shoul add on next phones Blu-ray HD video support & rec. and BRAVIA screen, right? This will be an innovation, an one expensive innovation, and those phones will cost at least 5 times more than now. I don't need to grow up.. because I'm big enough to know what I'm saying. |

3.0 inch QVGA is perfectly fine. Its actually 400x240 on their new phone

LG KC910:
400x240 = 96,000pixels / 3" = 32,000
SE C905:
240x320 = 76,800 / 2.4" = 32,000
aren't they equal in terms of pixels per inch? 
and 240x320 = 76,800 / 3 = 25,600 - less pixels per inch than the two above

dude thats the last thing you should be looking at. its like comparing a 2.4Ghz Pentium 4 to a 2.4Ghz Core 2 Duo. Numbers and real life are two totally different things.
VGA at this point is totally unnecessary

This is a c905 discussion thread, not a c905 praising thread... I'll think it's allright to compare the c905 to other phones (even if their not 's phones)... We have 114 pages of posts and replies of this phone, and there's a limit to how much information you can get on this phone (the phone specs are all revealed on the first page of this thread)... I, like many others, am here to get information on this phone... I'm really considering it, but it's also nice to know why, and if, this phone will be my next... That's why I like c905 to be compared to other phones and brands to see what I'll get compared to what others have to offer...
I love , but I only want the best phone available... Discussing pros and cons about the c905 compared to others (like the INNOV8) is really helpful when I'm going for my next phone... |

Mate.. I did'nt say that we should praise the C905. But to compare C905 with another 8 Mpx phone.. on all features, when we know that is a smartphone and not a feature phone...is not fair. We should compare what phones have in common. |

look at the touch pro, its getting amazing accolades for its battery life and the quality of the screen compared to other devices that AREN'T vga. so whomever it was that said it wasn't practical needs to go ahead and stop.
the market demands that technology keep going forward, this QVGA nonsense has got to stop it'll be 2009 soon, QVGA is 2005/2006 its HIGH time to move on.
itll be the day when we have 4K screens on mobile communication devices, there should be a push for that even now! but with ppl out there defending, nay satisfied with QVGA ... itll be long time, before tech-heads get what they want.
edit: scaling a 8mpx picture down to qvga is a horrific idea as well ... i dont know why someone would even attempt to assume that thats all we should need.

Isn't this about QVGA, getting very very old by now? I think, and maybe this is just me, that the C905 won't magically get VGA no matter how much one keeps wining about it...or am i way off base here?

i was talkin screen rez, not video resolution ... sorry for the confusion.
and the ongoing debate about whether a camera should have higher res recording is moot, SE is the only hedging their bets by thinking about a handycam phone when theres no need to FURTHER segment the imaging sector of the market.
they are wrong, and wont admit it, no reason to have shitty recording on a device with a sensor that high resolution.
proof why sony had to step in and change leadership at the company, they were doing it wrong. this is the last year we see se f**k up their entire line, with rehashed specs and platforms. | |
