@djin I'm considering buying QX100. I probably would never use it but it would be seriously cool and much easier than carrying my DSLR.

@shotokan yeah, I meant 3D print a mount for this accessory in the shape of a DSLR body, with a little bit of basic wiring you could stack a few spare batteries in a cavity behind the grip and wire them to the charging port. This way you get the extra power too. In terms of the shutter release, a simple lever action would work or just make a cut out over the handset shutter release, else use the on-screen button with your thumb.
I have a dig bick
You read that wrong

Holy smoke, Sony keeps on blowing me away this year. I know my next tv has to be a Sony triluminos tv.

He's trying to imply that the Z1 will come without Xenon flash.

No he's not, he wrote " with what's comin you don't need xenon" IMO that means that Sony has something better up their sleeves either softwarewise in Z1 or something else.

holy..

i wish they would make Z1 in white with gold trim around the edges.. how incredibly sexy would that be! it looks amazing on those smartshot lenses.. they should totally make Z1 match

Now when you mention it, I would want with light blue or light pink rim.
Looks good with white.

He just means the phone does so well in low light you don't even need a flash. And with the camera attachments (which do have optical stabilisation) you'll get great, natural-looking low-light pictures without a flash anyway.

as soon as I get my XZ1 I'm going to call my mum, do you think she'll be able to tell I got the most advanced device on the market available - probably not, all this hype over a phone are we mugs or not - are we victims of marketing - probably, the xperia Z was cutting edge but ended up with limitations, the best device I've had in my hand ( 2 hands) was the Ultra but it fell short with a substandard camera spoiling all that neat hardware - for a few mm's more it could have been the Z1 Ultra - why for why do Sony do this - is it clever marketing -

The first thing I did with the Ultra was put it in a cover making it 10mm thick - I'd rather have had a 20mp camera and LED flash and an extra 2mm any day, there seems to be this pissing contest going on about thinness, the last thing I looked at is how thick my Xperia Z Ultra was - is 2mm really going to make a difference if it's packed with a similar spec to the Z1 - The Ultra is a big fail in my books, the Z1 and the Ultra should have been equal except for screen size - big Z1 little Z1, what were they thinking

you will always need a flash in low light - unless you have a tripod handy and even then colours will be saturated if you are shooting in a common low light situation like a bar or similar which a lot of us find ourselves were artificial coloured light can dominate and completely spoil a photo - there are powerful LEDs in the auto sector that would probably be as good as xenon or even fit 2x LEDs - yes they draw more power but so what in a device with a hefty battery

Or Sony could supply an external flash that could be used with their phones - a small plugin module rechargeable that can easily be in a pocket
