No hardware stabilisation, and no epic fail, thank you for not bringing this back.

Is this confirmed? I highly doubt it. |

Honami doesn't have OIS, will be confirmed on Wednesday. |

So how come it's not and epic fail? A device that was supposed to be "Cyber-shot" device, all the fancy names (BIONZ SuperSteady Shot etc.) even xenon flash in begining, is going to have worse camera than normal phones from competition? In today's market where OIS is practically standard, it is an epic epic fail no to include one in supposed camera flagship. |

I believe Sony has a substitute for having no OIS we'll have to wait and see, personally I don't see much benefit in OIS compared to software image stabilization in a smartphone having limited zooming capabilities. In a proper camera with zooming capabilities OIS is important, but on a smartphone? I think not, even if it will improve it, I doubt it being all that better compared to a finely tuned software stabilization.
Lol, and seriously? having no OIS makes the phone a flop? exaggerated much, image quality comes first when talking about the camera.
@admad no it's not supposed to be a cyber shot device, did sony say so themselves? we'll have to wait for the official announcement before you claim those as facts as well as stating that it will have worse camera, that remains to be seen if it will be terrible or an excellent camera, remember everything here is a rumor unless officially announced by sony.

I find it funny that people is sooo knowledgeable before they've actually seen
the device. it's a fantastic world we live in!

Isn't SteadyShot hardware stabilization? If I remember this right, razec did discuss of a sensor-shift stabilization which is done in the camera's hardware. |

The fact is that there were rumours of OIS, Xenon Flash and more.
Now there's no Xenon, no OIS, if Sony had included a Xenon Flash, OIS and other features then they would have a killer phone on their hands which would have destroyed the competition. |

^ thats why its a rumor.
whyre you so hurt by a rumor being false? go buy a G2 if you want OIS.
have you seen the samples? because its not doing much for video.
lets wait to compare the final outputs from these camera systems then judge, that would be prudent. then we can make the determination on what sony or lg could have done differently to improve their stills/video capture with their 2H flagships.

Peace everybody
Has Sony ever stated that il will have the cyber shot branding? that it will be a cameraphone?... nono... nothing official till last week where we just had some glimpses of it and the simple slogan "The best of Sony, now better"...
and this seems to point towards the fact that this device will build its strength upon the ashes of the XZ just bettering it... better camera, better screen, better sound and so on... and THIS is the premise... all the rest... al the things we discuss here could perfectly be bullshit... who know? we are just arguing about our rumors, our leaks... so who know what it will really have? surely a lot of what we said... surely thing we didn't say... surely so e things will not be there... so let's just wait before bashing
And still.... yes LG G2 and HTC One has OIS... but how are their camera?? The HTC One it's really poor!!!! the other I do not know... and you know what.. s4 do not have OIS... but still you can shoot good photos

Do consumers buy phones based on whether there's OIS and Xenon? Or looks and price? Are you that dumb? Poor boy.
LG sales suck. Only it's budget phones and the Nexus helped them. Nokia cannot match. It's sales is simply crap.

just like what my ninja said "thats why its a rumor"
I don't get why people complain over something that does not interest them. You're not forced to buy it, why get disappointed?
