questions!!
1) if i have a BT headset (HBH-30), i put my phone on automatic BT mode ok? Then when my phone rings does my BT headset (which is on) ring as well or the automatic mode doesn't work that way? Do i have to switch everything to on then only it can work? if that's the case then waste batt la!?
2) can any of you guys tell me the good things of having a BT headset? The only thing i have in mind is it looks damn right cool... And i dun think my dad will let me spend 276bucks on something just coz it looks cool.... so help me! thanks!
cheers! |

gilthoniel-> ur phone will ring once before u hear the ringing on ur BT headset(automatic mode), the advantage of using BT headset is wireless and fit well if u're driving or don't want the wire to bother u when u do something, no doubt it looks cool.

The other good part is if you wear this headset and walk towards the construction site, some of the foreign workers will run away, as they thought you are CID or FBI or something??? Okay, Joke aside, the advantage beside what dairin had pointed out and what I feel it is not so painful when you use it often as you are using the wire head set. The wire type ear piece that you wear sometimes you have to put right into your ear. Wearing too long will cause your ear a bit painful. And it will also collect ear"shit" when you take it out from your ear if you do not clean your ear frequently. Good enough reason for you to buy eh???

BTW, the stadby mode for HBH-30 and battery can last very much longer, better than the HBH15 and 20. And it really looks more solid and nice than the HBH-15. The reception is superb.

yes .. i got it ... cause it looked damn cool .. eheeheh tht was my main reason ... and tht when i drive i will not be entangle in those troublesome wired headsets ..as for my BT i use on cause there is a prob with either the headset or the phone cause some time it does not transfer the sound to the headset ....

anyone knows where i can get HBH-30 for $276 in Singapore? I went to alot of place and most quote me $320++ or no stock. Also HBH-30 owners, with this headset, do you wear it for the whole day? is it convienient to put into your pocket and only wear it when the phone rings? |

I just got my HBH-30 yesterday for $268 at Citilink Connection. They initially quoted me $290 but managed to bargain to $268 by telling them SE only selling for $270, think their cost is much lower than that to be able to slash so much. Meantime still testing it, I must say it is a wonderful piece of equipment from SE, looks good and works well too. Reception is loud and clear except at times might have some static in background. I tried it with my T68 on low batt and both lost connection couple of times, no sure whether is it due to low batt as I believe the T68 with bluetooth on can almost halve the batt life. Will report later upon further testing. |

As for the HBH-30 now, because it is new, most of the dealers can only get little quantity distribution from the agent. (THe warranty one, does not include parallel import) That is to be fair to all vendors. So most of the dealers intend to make some quick bucks at this time and jack up the prices to sell it for those who anxiously wanted to have it now. If you all can wait, let's wait for the stock is sufficent supplying in the market and the price will be stable.

Dumbo,
Have you tried your HBH-30 on the streets? like beside a busy road where there is a lot of traffic? Is the reception still clear and did the people you talk to mentioned anything about the reception?
