hmm a white one eh? Show off!
If you're jailbroken, you should definitely go in for these apps off Cydia; Cycorder, SwirlyMMS (works for me to send, but not receive), SBSettings, Intelliscreen. For nice little touches also recommend downloading Reflective Dock, LiveClock and Weather Icon... live weather on your status bar is nice
Theres lots more buts that all i can think off the top of my head!

I use just MMS, even with a JB phone, I never send any, but its useful to be able to recieve them.
A couple more useful bits are...
- 5 icon dock,
- 5 Row springboard,
- Bite SMS (Supports smilies to and from other phones, message forwarding, and sending contacts)
- Icy (Cydia replacement, faster)
- dTunes
- iTV (Watch Family Guy, Simpsons, Southpark etc from 1 app)
- PDA Net (Connect your Laptop/PC to the net via your phone)
- FontSwap (Change your phones fonts on the fly)
- MxTube (Download youtube vids to your phone)
- Open SSH
- xGPS

Just a quickie guys, in case anybody can help me. I have just restored my IPhone 3g to 2.21 software via itunes on my macbook. I went for a shower and left the operation running. I have just come down to find my iphone stuck at the apple logo and i cant get it to do anything, no restart, no dfu mode possible. Has anyone else experienced this and if so any advice greatly appreciated.
Regards Craig

Yeah cheers @Boinng. You're right. Thing is, now i know it's there, it's playing on my mind. That...and the prospect of getting a shiny new one!
Certainly dont want to be messed around by O2, but I may just duck in there tomorrow and see what they say.
Ryan, did you ever get this sorted? I'm starting to get a bit paranoid about the cracking problem, holding my phone up to the light on a daily basis just in case I see anything... would love to hear if O2 or Apple saw you right...

haha no mate, not as yet! Dont wanna be messing around with O2 directly, not after someone on twitter told me he had exactly the same issue, O2 sent it for 'repair' and he suffered for 3 weeks with a Nokia 1 series loaner lol
Just gonna wait til I can get to Bluewater and take it in to the Apple store, no messing then. Hopefully will be in the next couple of weeks

Yeah it's a bugger i dont live close to one, i have an authorised Apple dealership about 15miles from me, they actually took an iPod Touch in from me a while ago, attempted to fix it and then just replaced it. Wonder if they would do a replacement iPhone for me? Probably not i'd imagine!

@ryan, Ah well, keep us posted.. there's definitely a few very small (1mm or less) cracks around my headphone port, but they're only visible in bright light and don't seem to have quite broken the surface yet. Maybe they'll stay that way..
On another tack, really pleased to find a big update to the Spreadsheet app today. This is Softalk's Spreadsheet - http://www.softalkltd.com/products/spreadsheet/ - which was the first one to hit the appstore back when the 3G was new. It started out a bit poor but has gradually improved. Until recently it's worked well but only with XML sheets, but since the increased competition from Quickoffice arrived they've obviously been playing catchup, and today's v2.0 release now supports .XLS format natively, and adds a ton of other improvements to make it pretty feature complete.
As someone who bought the app back when it was still pretty limited (but the best of a limited bunch) it's really nice to still be getting really significant free updates even now. That's one of the best things about the Appstore and the iPhone as an app platform, I think.

yeh i love the fact u get the updates for what looks like the lifetime of the app... nice one apple and app devs!
gotta say i downloaded wunder radio and its amazin! u can even listen to police, fire and ambulance radios from the USA on it! and all whilst being in a non 3g area lol.
BBC merseyside also works in edge areas as well woo!

Yeah cheers @Boinng i certainly will keep you updated on the situ. And definitely agree about the app updates, nice to know that you instantly get updates when new features get added. Even nicer when you snap up a certain app for free, which turns in to a paid app, and then you continue to receive the new features for free
@voda, yeah dude, Wunder Radio is the be-all and end-all of radio apps. Dont think i've ever come across a more comprehensive radio app! So good. Especially great, as you say that you can even receive when out of a 3G area...

Been quiet here recently....
So what's anyone installed recently that's any good?
I'm not really a big fan of gaming on the device, but installed StickWars recently and had a bit of fun with that. Think it's 59p in the app store.
Any other good little addictive games worth the download?
As far as modding goes, currently loving the LockInfo stuff instead of using Intelliscreen on my lockscreen. Looks

I think everyone's just waiting with baited breath for the coming of 3.0, and a glimpse of the new hardware
The best thing I've added to mine lately is quite boring - a dictionary! The Concise English Dictionary by Jdictionary Mobile is 59p in the store at the moment and really good value, the vocab's really big and the interface is great too.
Apart from that I've been playing Flight Control (as mentioned by Masseur on the last page) quite a bit, only got up to 63 as my high score... that was 59p too.
Generally loving it though. Looking forward to 3.0 and I know I'm going to end up hankering over whatever new video-packing model they announce at the same time, but I'm nearly halfway through my contract now..
