hey, i got this problem, when i open wi-fi or wlan whatever you guys wanna call it.
my phone freezs, restarts and then when its booted, say the phone had to restart for better performance, or something along those lines.
i tried the remove battery thing too.
it only started happening when i updated my phone to the lastest firmware.

try doing a master reset or reflashing the firmware again.

I have only ever used the CPW repair centre in Balfas once and that was 6 years ago. I guess I was lucky as I nearly bought one out there in June. Dont know what the problem is in replacing it as you can buy them of ebay. Is it not worth buying and replacing it yourself? They arent cheap though but then again i dont know if you are paying for your attempted repairs.

If O2 Ireland released the phone (an if I had bought it from them) I would be able to go into the shop, and show them the problem and they would give you a new/refurbished phone on the spot.
I will wait and see what the repair people in Dublin say about the phone, I havent paid for any repairs yet (besides postage)

would be handy if you could show them in person. I used to live near K&N and have used their walk service in the past which was pretty good. Phone was repaired within 45 mins and returned whilst i waited in their canteen.

Just called K&N. They told me that they have replaced the LCD and reflashed the software again. Will hopefully get it back tmorw and let you know if this rectifies the problem.

On my phone it plays a full movie fine but the problem is that when I disconnect it from my pc after transferring the movie, the phone hangs during 'updating media library'. Hence I don't add full movies to the library, I play it from the media viewer itself

I have a Sony Ericsson G900 and my messages show a different time from that of my actual time. How do i fix that?

Also is there a new Firmware for this phone? If so where can I find it and how do I put it on my phone?

Thanks

Been using mine since Friday with the new LCD and no problems so far. You will need to get the LCD replaced. If you cant get it done under warranty try replacing it yourself. I dont think it will be that difficult to do.

Generic World 1 has a whole load of languages-what did you need?
You're better off with GW1 although GW2 also has EN UK.

In system information is said that the phone is 1203-6566 R9N002 version - is that the latest, and if not which is it?
