Best Pic is just an enhancement of the Burst mode capability, isn't it?

@ads1107, definatley worth getting. I've only had it for a day and I reckon it blows the K750 away.

omg, i jsut ordered a black w900i, should come friday, as thats all i could afford atm, then i just looked at the prices on ebay for the k800i, and yesterday they were too expensive, now the prices are in my range, but ive already ordered my w900i...

Put it in the for sale section. That black W900i should go for £250+ on eBay.

To be honest I didn't use it that much, but didn't Burst Mode take 4 shots over a 1 second period (only at 640x480 though)?

It seems BestPic takes 9 over 1/2 second or so.

Maybe I need to test BestPic with a fast moving subject and see how it works.

Plus you can only save one of the BestPic shots but Burst Mode saved all 4.

I seem to recall it being mentioned in the proto-reviews and wonder why they took it out.

Kind of, but it's much better. First of all, it works at full resolution (Burst only did 640x480), and it takes more pictures (9) in a shorter time. Second, you can choose exactly which and how many to save (you get tiny thumbnails and you check off the ones you want to save) - Burst mode always saved them all. And third - and most importantly - BestPic registers pictures from *before* you pressed the shutter - meaning you can miss a shot and still not have missed it.

Ahh, didn't realise you could save more than one, I'll give it a try later on.

Still begs the question why it was an option in the proto firmware, but removed for final release.

K800 is finally here in stores as well. Now I have just one quick question:
Are all K800 made in China? Because that's what it says on the back of all K800s that are sold here..

You need a 3g sim to use video calling. Genie sims are not 3g so you wont be able to use 3g services with a genie sim

When you buy a brand new (non-contract upgrade) K800 from O2, will you recieve a 3G sim card? or a normal sim card?

BestPic was on the prototype and is on the final (press the almost-invisible button on the bottom left in camera mode, with the phone turned around).

On the prototype, it was SUPER slow to create the thumbnails and save individual images. The list was also at the top of the screen and it crashed the phone A LOT!

On the final version, it's instant and quite amazing - but a 'save all' would be great in addition to clicking on any/all pictures to save them. In fact, auto saving all would be good for when you're after the 'right picture' but may want to check on a PC [it's hard to spot the best picture on the phone screen] later.

The current system also means that pressing back up will not save a single image. Suddenly, you've got a feature where you don't miss that perfect shot - but you can 'forget' to save it.

BestPic is awesome but SE will have a battle on their hands to convince people that it is nothing like burst mode/multishot on any other product.

Does anyone know if you can turn 3G off (i.e., dual mode, 3G mode only, GSM mode only)? I would like to buy the K790i but can't stand to wait for it's release..............I would consider to buy the K800i if that is possible to do becuase than both phones would be the same except for the EDGE, but I can live without it.

Hi There, new to the forum, so go gently on me lol

Ok, got my phone 2 days ago and here's a quick 2/3 thoughts:

1) The battery life seems amazing. Made about 90 mins of calls and its still on full green charge

2) I had a genie sim, and transferred for me FOC

3) There does seem to be an error with the software on the CD (or is that the firmware in the phone?). I had multiple attempts to make it connect by going into the correct mode, but it will only connect in "phone mode" and crashes after a short while.

I have a disc with 1,000 JAVA games on.... does anyone know how i transfer onto the phone?

Just ordered my M2 card, paid £38 for 1gb

This phone is great

Just waiting for o2 to switch my number over to my contract account. I read on another thread (can't remember where) that if you select a roaming option you can get your 3g signal faster....anyone know where this was?

Thanks!

There is an option to have it on gsm only, in the setting somewhere.

It works, but its a little bit laggy, especially if you change to landscape mode.
