Just for interest sake, didnt pay because SE batteries have a 1yr warranty.

OK
We out of the brown at 24% and climbing using the cradle to charge.
Maybe charger also gone.
One thing i am going to change with this new battery is only charge it after its run right down and discharges itself.
Going to stick to the rules on good battery maintenance.

Speaking of batteries, i use 4 of them on a rotational basis in the 6630 and 6680. There's a thread hereabouts where good battery maintenance is discussed, and the tips given there are quite comprehensive. Thus far i've gotten good service from all four, the newest being a year old, the oldest being the original one that came with the 6630. Average duration is about 36 hours, when used heavily for gprs. With casual usage it usually lasts for 3-4 days. LOL, despite the rolling blackouts i haven't used the emergency charger even once yet
I'm not superstitious, merely mildly stitious.

Okay, after this discussion about the reverse call came up again, i tried it out this morning...

this is how you do it (i made the call from my prepaid to my contract number)

You dial 082180and the full number. For example, if the number you want to dial is 0821234567 you have to dial 0821800821234567 you will hear a message in the lines of "Please be patient while we try to connect your reverse call" about 2 seconds later the phone you are making the reverse call to will start ringing. I assume when the contract subscriber answers the call they will be told that it is a reverse call attempt, and will get the option of allowing the call or rejecting it.

@BRIX: UIQ I presume? Downloaded via their wap site.(v5.5) How would I get the java version?

Its all good Gucci. The new battery just needed a good long charge.Im so so happy to have it back(ha ha only one day) I dont know how those people feel that are seperated with their "precious" for 3 weeks or longer. You should have seen how i screamed at the girl at Vodacare when i dropped my phone off.She violently rips opens my memory card door and then tries to force it back in (which you cant,it takes a special action) You should have been there, you would have thought me mad.Oh my goodness, just saw on the news,Stormers toppled the Chiefs in Wellington and are sitting at no.6 on the table.Go Stormers. Also Proteas are on top of the world at no1 in One Day cricket.Go Proteas.Oh by the way, played again today on a Nokia E61i and i cant rave enough about how much i love that phone.I might just bypass a fancy smancy uptodate specced phone for my upgrade and get that baby as my second back;up phone.Brix have you considered an E61i?
