@ da brixsta:
For that price you'd think so, but it's actually unlocked and unbranded, as it's Carphone Warehouse's sim-free stock, and they're also not T-Mobile or '3' CPW offers, who do sometimes supply locked and branded phones to CPW. The choice of networks stipulated in the ads also confirms this.
If I was buying from Phones4U, The Link, or the networks' online shops, you betcha it'd be locked then.

The only stuff CPW sometimes put on their phone stock is (sometimes) start-up and shut-down shows, plus sometimes a wallpaper. Usually one can delete these anyway.

A Sony Ericsson K500i is what im having to use.
Such a simple phone.
And quite a nice change.
Press on/off key and phone is up and running in a second.
Forgot how that felt.

@HOBBS: Your K500 reminds me of my old K700...an almost perfect phone apart from the lack of expandable memory and piss poor camera. I think I need to search up the K700 picture thread.

You're worrying me now, when i got my N81 i did the same because the lady at the counter advised me to,she said if i turn on the phone and the factory charge is still full then i should play around with the phone until its dead then recharge for something like 8hours. So im hoping thats not what caused the problem lol.

K700i is a lovely little phone.Gucci,I think the Golden rule is to give it that good 8-12hr charge before using it.It even says not doing this will effect your batteries lifespan.

@ Hobbster:
LMAO, check what I stumbled across on mp3fiesta: lullaby renditions of songs by U2, Nirvana, The Cure, Tool, Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Pink Floyd, NIN, Smashing Pumpkins etc :

http://www.mp3fiesta.com/rockabye_baby_artist21122/

Sigh, just when we think that we've seen (and heard) it all, LOL.

Brix you hear that.3 months time.W960i? or P1i? Me I'd skip them both, debrand a K850i and get that.I'd even consider a snazzy green T650i.GEEZ Im enjoying the size and simplicity of this K500.

Will definitely check that link tom at work Wangs. My mp3fiesta account needs a top up again. What do you buy? I normally just get the $29.99 option.
Gucci,is the N95 8GB built well? I know its specs are out of this world, but does it feel like you holding 9 and a half grand?

Yesterday, one of the main stories on O2's wap site and the newspapers was about the British student who was killed by a black mamba bite in SA.

Screen capture:

..and in one of the free local newspapers, taken with the P1i:

@ Hobbster:
I'm still on my initial $20.00 top-up. Having said that, I've only a few $ left on the account, so methinks I'll be topping up with another 20 greenbacks in the next week or so.

@da wanqsta: Never heard of that story...and I check the newswires constantly.

@HOBBS: Not keen on either the P990, K850 or the T650...all nice phones but just not for me.
