Maybe later. Still trying out Vista ATM.
@Muhammad Oli
Can I get all my music, videos and apps on my iPhone synced back onto my Vaio or do I have to find some way of recovering them from my old 40GB HDD?

As far as I know you can't take stuff off an iPod/iPhone using iTunes. iTunes is crap like that. There might be some third party software you could try, but I think it's far more likely you'll have to retrieve it from your old hard drive somehow.
Anyway it's nice to hear you're up and running with a new internet plan and laptop.

To take songs off an ipod use winamp (its a little complex how to do so at first but you figure out eventually) I'm not too sure about iPhone.

I would assume it would all work the same on an iPhone. I don't think the file systems, etc would be too different from one another considering they are made by the same company!

Yea also I think you can copy songs from your iPod to ps3 just by pluging it in.

You sure? That's not just flash drive mode you're thinking of?

Well I tried it on my dads iPod and no music came up, but that could be because the dog decided to chew the USB cable.

That dog has caused problems before. One time I had the side of my computer off (was upgrading some bits) and then I went away for a while and the dog did a crap in the computer!

I used Media Monkey for most of my "borrowing" songs from friends ipods. I did find that it wont work for ipod touch/iphone so I used Ipod Access to swap all my songs from Ipod 80gb to Ipod touch. Worked a treat!
EDIT: Oh yea, it let me save it all to the computer too

Tried the trial versions of both iPod Access and Copy Trans but they are too limited and the full versions are too expensive considering I still have to find a way to recover the rest of my data from the old HDD.
