Sman is for the p800, and no information of your phone is given, only the information you choose to send, ie. the details in the contact.
If you're set to discoverable they might find you too, and in that way they will see your phone name, but that is all.
Now get Bluejacking and make those nokia users suffer for not knowing how to use their phones... |

Bluejacking is just sending media to other bluetooth phones, without them knowing. So send whatever you want! The most commonly accepted is a buisness card.
Hope that answers your question.

if u mean your post saying:
"Pardon me for my ignorance but I take it to BlueJack someone you need them to have Bluetooth "on" or "enabled" I take it??"
Than the answer is yes, the person that you want to bluejack has to have their bluetooth on or on discoverable.
It's just some nokia users (make that most) don't even know their bluetooths on and as it's set to defualt on, on Nokias they make perfect targets.
Hope this helps , and keep jackin

Well, I got my T610 last Monday, and now have 12 victims.
London Busses in the rush hour are great - 80-ish people all with the latest phones, and usually 2 or 3 N6310i's to attack. Plus, if you're quick you can get the crowd of people standing at the bus stops along the way, who are waiting for other busses.
My problem is that I'm already running out of imagination for my 20 character messages!
Is there a "Top ten bluejack messages" thread somewhere? I can't find anything like that, but I need one!!! |

I have had loads of hit's on the train to London and at the stations in London!
The trouble is I have only ever seen the victim once or twice
I am officially addicted to bluejacking
I think I want a Z600 to replace my t68i but recently saw the Motorola V600 and like that as well but don't want to defect from

My phone got delivered yesterday!! Except I was at work and no one was home to sign for it so I've gotta pick it up tomorrow. I think the first place I'm going to try BlueJacking is the Trafford Centre in Manchester on the weekend.
Has anyone shortened bluejacking to BJ yet - lol :D |

AJACK- I believe that there are a lot of people out there who has played with their bluetooth and found out that they can discover other bluetooth devices and send stuff there.
But you were the first to "announce" of such a way that it can be a prank. And also giving it a name, hence bluejacking.
Making a software for the P800 to simplify the process of bluejacking is also tops.
Now, someone out there has made a software that can make you send SMS anonymously. As a name or a totally different number. You can come out as Bill Gates announcing that they won in a Microsoft raffle, or that you are Saddam Hussein threatening to eradicate your whole family, or that you are SATAN going to take your soul tonight. Even come out as +11800-88888 or anything you can imagine. Then you can send this out to someone you know and freak them out.
That means you can only pull this prank on someone who is on your contact list.
They will totally not be able to reply since your number is not known.
It's called SMSXtender.
The problem is they are charging people for this service.
Since Droll came out with a software (SMan) that's free. Why don't you guys do a similar software to this and call this BOOjacking or something. And also offer this for free.
Everyone needs a good laugh! (It's the best medicine!)
We'd be forever grateful and call you guys the gods of whateverjacking.

OK, need some suggestions:
I have bluetooth on my PC and phone at work, when I search I find my bosses laptop (he sits 6 foot away from me!), and from the people in my department, there is a SE P800 which is someone's opposite me and 2 6310i's from a couple of temps upstairs.
What message should I send to any of them (I don't wanna get the sack!)?
only the P800 user has heard of Bluejacking
PS It's an IT department |

Hmmm.
Boss is most tempting, but what is PC & setup?
U C my PC gives no indication of rcvd item - wd hv to go looking in BT 'Inbox'.
If set up is diff tho & he WILL see, try...
'INTEL ALERT: CPU FAILURE IMMINENT! CALL (insert ph. no.)'
Or-
'Security Alert: Wireless Port Breached! Shutdown Urgent!'
No go on P800 - he knows anyway.
Temps: 'Alert! Attempted Wireless Intrusion by Nokia 6310!'
