Using the same sensor will still give distortion right so why bother unless in the months before MWC users get updates to fix this, I wouldn't be convinced because the second camera is probably for low light and probably bokeh 'effects'.
Regarding the concept design, as long as you have those curved sides it will look like there is a thick side bezel so that aspect has to change, not saying the photoshop is bad but the design aspect doesn't make it seem bezel-less. They need to drop this 2.5D glass and make it totally flat. |

Well here is my update on the cam from anonymous source :
basically the same IMX400 but with a lower aperture most likely 1.8.
no mention of OIS yet but that doesn't mean it won't feature just no info on it yet.

Great news.
IMX400 is excellent sensor. I don't think they'll be able to put f 1.8 in the sensor without being a huge camera hump. I think Sony will probably use f 1.9 so the hump is kept to minimum. But let's hope for the best. I hope they also improve their low light image processing. |

@josephnero
May I know if there will be 128GB or more on Xperia as I am using XZ1 Compact and starting to feel that i might not having enough space to use even it can support MicroSD Card
Thanks |

Oled panels are much thinner than regular LCD.
New JDI's LCD is even thinner than oled .
Thicker camera be managed easily. |

Hopefully to see 128GB ROM as new standard for dual-sim model in 2018
although 64GB is bloody okay but would preferred to have more as it the contents keep growing.
Also eagerly to see new Snapdragon 845 how it can perform compare to current generation,
hopefully no less 30% performance improvement and 4G dual sim active would nice additional.

Because the 2016 thread is still "sticky" while this 2017 thread is not
I think we might need a moderator that is a little bit free to do those sorts of basic things

Had a play with the Jolla UI on Xperia this weekend. Not really worth the money but there are some nice ideas and elements to it. It is visually very appealing, nice clean menus and I think Sony should use some of the ideas to make Android more attractive. It reminds me of the PS3 interface in some ways which I loved personally.
Also had the iPhone 8 Plus for a day. People may say its very similar to the 7 but you see the improvement particularly in the camera. I'm not going to bash Sony but I'll say that the experience is very fluid and easy to get nice sharp images. The 4K 60 frames is also very nice. For a lot of people its about fast snap and upload onto social media and iPhone is king for that. For some people you don't have the time to mess about in manual mode or the moment is lost. I will say though that performance-wise the XZ1 Compact is as fast and probably the fastest device I've used, even faster than the Note 8 in my hands which is some achievement. |
