finally my first proper bluejack (I bluejacked a teacher's ibook but this time i got phones), and in the US! i went my local mall (woodfield mall, very big). and was searching the whole time.
found "mills 6310i" and it said contact sent (btw, this was a nokia code visus contact with 0's and 1's). it send succeffuly, but didn't hear a beep. then just was i was walking out. i found just "6310i" sent that to him, heard the beep from a guy right in front of me! oh man the look on his face really was priceless. he stopped walking, and just stared. so i sent him some more along with satan's number and he was whirling around all over the place looking for what could be sending them. i laughed and walked out. it was the best.
btw, this was all done from my nokia 3650!!!
i also saw and played with an n-gage at a videogame store. its cool, very fast and nice screen, but i don't like holding it like a taco to talk on it. |

i bluejacked someone in sizzlers!! i was kinda bored of eating so i did a search and it came out as 'Nokia 6310' and i sent a NOTE but it didnt work!! after trying many times it didnt work so i thought that it was a connection problem of some sort..so in the end i just left it alone and went back to eat
after a while i got bored again and i searched again and i found the same guy..so then i tried it again and still didnt work!! and then i thought since i got a T610 and he's got a 6310, i cant send NOTES to his phone!!
so after that i quickly changed my business card to 'Don't Eat Me' and my number to 000 and off it went!! and the next thing i heard from the other side was a nokia message tone!! i didnt see the guys reaction but i got my brother to see who it was..turns out it was a man who was with his family eating dinner..so after that i couldnt send anymore since i didnt want to disturb him.
but i learnt a lesson from this..SONY ERICSSON phones (especially the T610) cant send POST NOTE messages to NOKIA phones but you can send business cards!! now thats why everytime i try to bluejack someone it didnt work!!

Yes, it needs to be on discoverable. I assume you realise this topic has probably been discussed before in this 83 page thread?! But still, anyway, if you have a read you'll see why this doesn't really matter as a lot of phones are on discoverable as the average user is pretty stupid. (not being rude) (actually I am, all the people I Bjack must be pretty stupid!) |

i did start reading through the funny stories but -
I have a T610 - the only thing I can do is "Turn Bluetooth on"
or in connectivity
"Bluetooth" >> "My Devices" etc
There doesnt seem to be an option to "discover devices"....
sorry if this has been explained countless times! Do I have to add a pre done contact to my phone book to send the business card? |

I've just ordered my T610 - first ever Sony/Erricson phone, after going something like Motorola, Nokia, Nokia, Nokia, Motorola, Sharp
Can't wait to try out bluejacking - respect to the guy that invented this. |

I remember being in the metro train in copenhagen, where i was fiddling with my P800... I found some nokia phone (can't remember which model). Though i couldn't see anyone with the phone, i could see who it probably was by noticing when it disapeared from my phones reach.
This reminds me of the FOAF project (Friend-Of-A-Friend). It targets connectivity of people meeting and suddenly deciding to connect something on the fly...
Btw, don't hate me if i'm repeating someone. I haven't read all 83(!) pages of this thread... |

I finally had a go at this bluejacking thingie this last weekend while I was at work and the next day while eating with some friends in a big chinese restaurant (and there I hit the jackpot, 25 phones of which 13 got jacked by me hehehe!).
I came to the conclusion that is is pretty easy to connect to 6310(i)'s and (alas) T610's. I had some trouble connecting to 3650's, 7650's, and 8910(i?)'s. The first two type of phones would accept a bussinesscards with no hassle, but the other phones kept hanging in the "connecting to" stage.
Tomorrow I'm going to try this at the airport while I'm waiting for the person I have to pick up.
My T68i is beginning to be more fun than my P800!

@deliciosomarron:
Isn't using SMan v1.1a on a P800 an easier way to bluejack? I should know, I thought of this bluejack thingy and am one of the SMan developers...
PS. Are you from Amsterdam? Will be going there in November...

@ ajack
No I'm not from Amsterdam (anymore), but I still spend a lot of time up there visiting friends, acqaintances and relatives and weekends I work in Rotterdam.
I'll try the Sman software if I can get my hands on it and if you say it's easier than jacking people with the t68i then look out world, I'm out to get you hehehehe!
