I'm not buying it to show it off. I have a P990i and K750i now and I need a better camera on my phone. The P990i cam leaves a lot to be desired IMO. I like gadgets and this one should give me hours of fun.
I just can't wait to get my hands on it, pity the blue version is exclusive to O2.

K850i, K750i, T650i and T610 will be my collection. The photo and video blogging are great features in the K850i, coupled with HSDPA = smiles all round.

will decide once i see reviews on retail version..... and if i decide to buy one, it will be the green one. The blue looks a little cheap, the grey sides are a turn off imo

OH YEAH! video blogging, qvga resolution @ 30fps is a great improvement to cif recording @ 15fps. However I'd rather have VGA @30fps - but we know thats still some time away. I'll wait until UIQ3.1 with non-touch screen for VGA recording.
Me K790a + K850i is my collection - if I can find NEW non tampered with K750 I'll take that unless a W810i is around > I'll have a better hunt find these (although I still love Blasted Silver K750).
$CAN is almost on par with the $US dollar

maybe im a hardcore  freak...but i have actaully bought every phones the same day it comes.

I have bought the last two major camera-phone releases by Sony Ericsson, K750i and K800i, as soon as they came out so I will definitely be getting the K850i as soon as I can.
I've been waiting patiently all year for a hint of information on SE's flagship camera-phone model and was literally shocked when I heard next to nothing for months. Eventually they released info on 14-06-07 so I knew the delay would be substantial but hoped for a pre-christmas release.
All I can say is thank god it is being released within the next few weeks.

Yep we have a version for the K800/K810 and pretty much all of the popular SE phones. We have a great relationship with Sony Ericsson who help us with porting to new phone variants as they become available on the market so a K850 version is in the pipeline.

So you are saying that you are getting the K850 a week before everybody else? I for one have only heard week 41(blue) and week 45(green) as the earliest release dates. (I spoke to Sony Ericsson last week)
