I really hope it would be as simple as creating a Palestinian state - I wish they would though, they could do with their own homeland regardless of terrorism or not.

If we withdraw from Iraq now we'd leave it pretty much in anarchy - I think in this case the mistake should be 'carried through'.

Sorry, rather off topic there

@axxxr

you are assuming it is something to with Iraq. Saddam NEEDED to go.

@miss

They havent won because we are still coping. New York went up in chaos in 9/11, and i admit london 05 has not been as terrible but one death is a death too many and mass hysteria hasnt been that much of a problem for emergency services, they coped VERY well! [addsig]

while a nice idea in theory in practise i doubt it would stop the terror attacks.
the people of these countries are probably just as surprised about the attacks as they were about 9/11. most of the people who organise these attacks are highly educated rich people liking a very western lifestyle (dispite saying they hate the west)
even if we did as you suggested and i can disagree with it attacks would still continue and they would create another reason ie they dont like the simpsons etc
i still believe attacks like this and 9/11 are as much about creating wealth for the organisors as they are making a point if not more about money

While I totally agree with 99% of what you say, I think it's a bit naive of you to say that if you left the middleast alone and all will be good. Unfortunatley this people in charge of this planet are fueled by war, violence and devastation. It would take a miracle for any of today's injustices's to just 'Vanish'. My dream would be for all weapons (guns, missiles, bombs etc.) and the capability to create them would just dissapear from the planet. Unfortunatly we will have to wait untill the day of judgement for bloodthirsty c***s like Bush and his Neocon comrades and Bin Laden and his dissillussioned bunch to get t here cum-upance. What ever punish they recieve in this life will be insiginicant to what will happen to them when they rot in hell for all eternity.
I created this thread to hear about peoples experiences and or views on todays tradegy, not to air out political/religous views, we can always create another thread for that.

Very well said! There are other threads (and dare I say other forums) to discuss politics. It would be more respectful, I think, if we concentrated upon the purpose of this thread, which is to discuss the tragedy today rather than engage in endless speculation and debate on political viewpoints.

33 people dead. My Gosh. This is just another pointless act of terrorism I can't believe it, I thought it was all calming down again.

Point taken....I think a couple of Political threads are in order here where we can discuss the finer details.

I don't think it had necessarily calmed down, rather it was more a case of better security and action against terrorists having avoided incidents prior to today. There have been several stories in the news about attacks and plots being foiled in Britain. The terrorists have been trying to get through the security, but thankfully have been prevented from doing so, until today of course.

@soulframe

As much as that may be true, one shouldn't believe eveything one hears in the aftermath of such events. There are usually various stories and exaggerations about various things after this sort of thing, a pinch of salt is sometimes required.
