I would suggest that know about the problem and have improved the screening within the phone. It should be quite simple for them to update older handsets with the same internal screening.

Yesterday,i sent e-mail at SE in Greece!I told them that it's known that S700i have the problem of rebooting & also that SE at Finland & Uk admitted that they test a newer software!I asked them if this is true(i know it's true, but wanted to see if they knew something)& last of told begged them not give me a reply as:should you have any inquiries please contact SE service center to have your phone checked!& their answer is:should you have any inquiries please contact SE service center!!!They told me nothing!

Let me tell u something:as we all know,K700 is the successor of T610,S700 is the successor of K700,K750 & W800 will be the successors of S700 & also all the previous models plus Z1010,V800 & K600 are basically the same! They just have some changes in their software,so basically they're the same! Why the hell SE repeats issues with older models in newer models? For example,if you use a K700 with the latest firmware-R2AL029-you'll say:WOW!But the S700 for example, which is basically the same,is a little crap!

I can understand your frustration but I think that the s700 is a good phone. Nokia does not have anything to match the style and innovation of the s700. Second, most to all phones are the same. Same camera's, features sets, functionality. The phone manufactures are mainly trying to stop churn and to maybe get a new customer or two that are prone to change their phones. SE and Nokia are not worried about the core purchasers. It is the Motorola's, LG's, Siemen's, Samsung's, etc... that really have to be innovative. They are fighting for the buyers that do not have brand loyalty.

Underneith the battery in my S700:-
Sony Ericsson S700i 2738/30
Type AAB - 1021051 - BV AAAAA ALS
04W41
Made in Japan
The side of my box says:-
DPY 101 2738/30 R2A
Am now running my S700i with the latest firmware and still have the rebooting problem.
Have been to my local authorised repairer and they were very rude and said that there is no such fault with the S700. They haven't even bee supplied with the recent firmware to update any phones that do come in.
I tried sniffing coke once but didnt like it. The bubbles kept going up my nose |
