One question, in what ways can you transfer images from the phone to a computer? Does the miniUSB work or is Bluetooth required? Thanks for an answer!

I have not tested the USB-connection, simply because I didn't have a cable But assuming that V800 and Z1010 behave similarily in terms of connectivity, Bluetooth and USB-connection via cabla should work fine (Bluetooth does for sure )

thanks for answers rog and 02 (i suppose you answered me?)
i do understand that bluetoot works my question was caused from me being annoyed that you could not transfer pictures from the t610 to a computer with a cable, instead you had to use bt or ir... it just annoyes me that such a simple task was disabled... not that it matters that much. was just wondering. would be nice though, full USB-compability. easy to use, fast, works everywhere |

It will be more than 3MB in the final version (the whitepaper states "up to 32MB free memory for the user).
Anyway, whether it's 10 or 30 MB, when you can have up to 1GB external memory, that doesn't really matter, does it?

O2,
You do remember how swiftly SE managed to change from 32mb to 41mb in K700i. This was only matter of two weeks before the very first K700i hit the market. I got my K700i when people still wasn't sure about 41Mb and I also verified it in the old thread "K700i discussion" so I wouldn't be surprised if SE did the same thing. |

Yes the V800 is already in production and shipping to Vodafone. It will not have only 3mb free, that is not possible to work with. When using internet/wap, the phone uses about 2 mb as cache memory only. |

to run wap access.. its possible with 3MB as Z600 has only 2MB shared memory it still able to access wap...
K700i upgrading from 32MB to 41MB that is possible... but upgrading from 3MB to 32MB we're talking baut changing some RAM chips.. its like re-manufacturing all the phones again.. howeva I DO support that it will upgrade to 32MB or more for that matter.. coz 3MB is juz aint right... but its a fat chance.... coz the phone might already be shipped to vodafone stores... unless we're talking of delaying V800 release.. like they did to Z1010... n thats bad news broda... |

I'm not so sure it has been shipped. I heard that V800 was supposed to come at the end of Ocotober but today I heard at the beginning of November. It usually takes about 1 and a half to two weeks for a phone to hit the stores after they have arrived to the wholesaler.
Regarding memory, it is possible to enable more memory than just 3Mb. It very much depends how big that flash memory actually is. I think V800 has at least 12Mb of flash memory and with all preinstalled things it will only be 3MB left. Only the system itself takes about 6MB and 3MB with games, ring tones, themes, images etc, so you will only have 3MB left. That would be really greedy to just have 3MB so it has to be more than that.
My guess! |

O2,
That is not possible since they don't have 3G network working and particularly not Vodafone network. |
