What you describe is a 256 MB MS Duo not 256 MB MS Duo Pro.
Its not same thing. The former uses an external selector that need to be altered manually to choose between two 128 MB banks. The latter has one single 256 MB memory bank (no external selector needed). |

Where abouts are you in England? I live in london and would be happy to come down and get my p900 upgraded to the p910a software and give you £10.
Also, my p900 is a o2 branded to unbranded p900 using the old unbrander tool, would this effect the upgrade in any way?
TIA

With custom software, shouldn't it be possible to perform this stunt using the normal usb cable that comes with the p900, if you can trick the phone into receiving the flash file the same way as with a standard online flash upgrade? I can't see why special hardware is needed, the normal cable should be more than good enough, if someone could only design a program such as the SE Fighter software, that utilizes the standard cable, and fake the verification system i assume takes place during an online flash update.

People. Please read the ENTIRE thread I started at Howard Forums. 99% of your questions will be answered there.
These are not stock P910 firmwares. They have been custom created to work with the P900 hardware. It is unlikely that we will see another P900 conversion firmware kit available for at least another two months (when Lead has time to create another). These firmware images ONLY work with Fighter (they are encrypted), which is a $300US professional service software with special equipment and dongles. There is no cracked version (like there is with DIV and terminator dongles).
In addition, you cannot simply put your converted P900 on the cradle and get the latest version of the P910 software. The firmware IS a pre-release, but is 100% stable. And yes, you can easily flash the phone back to the original P900 firmwares.
I had the P900 flash files days before other Fighter users, and have been working closely with the Fighter team for awhile on getting this conversion done. I have now converted over 20 P900's, and offer this service for $25US + $10US return shipping (I need to make a living, and don't have the luxury of flashing people's phones for free). I only service phones within the United States, so as to not take away business from my friends in other countries. I offer a free flash back to the P900 firmware within 30 days if you are not satisfied with the uprade.
I have tested a 512MB MS Pro DUO card with the phone and it works fine.
For all of you who still think this is fake, OPEN YOUR EYES.
I have been selling unlocking/flashing services on eBay for a long time, so check out my feedback and see how many satisfied customers I have! You can view my feedback at: http://feedback.ebay.com/ws1/[....]rlastin&ssPageName=STRK:ME:UFS
If you want your phone upgraded, email me at everlastin@sbcglobal.net. Walk-ins are welcome if you are in Southern California!

For those of you that have already done the conversion and are experiencing slowness, try formatting the internal disk of the phone from the service menu (and post your results). This seems to speed the phone up tremendously! |

no one said how much free ram remains on p900 after a power on, with sman loaded. In sman now it says about 42% free ram(7 mb). After upgrade to p910 how much will remain? still 7 mb or lower?

It depends on what you have loaded on the phone to start up automatically, etc. I have found that the conversion uses about 500k more RAM after startup than the regular P900. In other words, I had a little over 6MB free with a few auto startup apps (keymapper, etc) running in the background.
It definitely isn't anything substantial... just a few kilobytes more... |
