I have a question:
Why do lunar eclipses always occur during full moon?
Why not during other lunar phases? Like first quarter or last quarter?

For a lunar eclipse to occur, the earth has to be in such a position that its shadow is cast on the moon. For this to happen, the sun, earth and moon must be in line-of-sight, or put simply, all lined up in a row. During the other lunar phases, these 3 celestial bodies are not in a position which allows the earth to cast its shadow on the moon. A half moon for example, sees the sun and moon at 90 degree angles to each other as seen from earth.
Conversely, a solar eclipse can only happen during a new moon, as this situation requires the moon to come between the earth and sun, rendering the lunar surface visible from earth unilluminated.

Floccinaucinihilipilification is the longest word in the English language. A letter which does not appear in "Floccinaucinihilipilification" twice or more is the letter "P".

yeah i have a question...although a mobile phone forum is hardly a place i would go, noone has given me a good answer...
Anyway, i had a girlfriend, and I do like her n all, but u see I used to like my best-friend, and a couple months ago these feelings started to come back...Anyway, my girlfriend moved away and we decided its better if we stay friends and see different people. I kept getting the impression that my b/f liked me, i mean like she kept trying to get close to me n stuff, so i asked her out. But she said no, but even then (and i still think) something is holding her back from saying yes, i know that the feelings are returned. I think whats holding her back is that we are so close, and she has had a bad experience with going out with friends, so she thinks that if we go out something will happen and we will lose our friendship. Blah, hehe, theres a very long story to it, so this may seem confusing |

Love impairs your senses and rationality worse than any drink or drug could...
Certainly, if you love her, you could at least wait 1 year right? That's what I recommend!
