I bought my P900 from www.mobileshop.com at Friday 7 Nov.By then it was "Pre-order" ,then at Friday 23 it changed to "In-stock" and yesterday at Wednesday 26 changed to "Released December".
I called them twice all this time and they just don't know when i am goin to have it!Now they tell me, i will get it "around december" without any promises ofcourse!!!
The thing is that they took the money from my card as soon as i made the order!THIS IS THE ONLY THING THEY KNOW HOW TO DO! |

Then may I suggest you ask to be refunded and look else where....
I posted about this site lower down...
http://www.cheshirephones.shopmobiles.com/SimFree2.asp?Phone=502&Network=O2
which was SIMFREE for £551 which is over £100 cheaper then when I got my P900 few weeks ago....
It is available with a contract too...
Worth a look? |

Sim free phones still look like an expensive option for the likes
of myself.
I am looking for the lowest total purchase cost with a contract
over a 12 month period i.e.
Initial Cost £69
4 Months @45
8 Months @10 then cancel.
Total cost = £329
becuase I am not concerned about the calls, I just want the hardware.
If anybody knows of a company matching or beating the now
notorious OSPS please let me know ?
Or even if OSPS start getting them in stock

I just called 'em again.
The lovely girl @ OSPS said to me: "yada yada yada hopefully should arrive at our warehouse in the next couple of working days blah blah la de da"!!!
Will probably be longer though. I can't wait to get my hands on it!

I'd worry about don'tstopphoneshop! Alarm bells ring when, as people have said on here, they take your money even tho they are out of stock. They never seem to have any stock either.

I am so angry, angry angry with myself - see I have been wanting a new-shmoo phone for a while now, and I thought of getting the A920. Luckily I read all the problems that had and prided myself on being able to stop myself from walking into a chasm of despair - the p900 comes along and once again I am filled with techo-joy!
Only problem - phone is pricey for the likes of me - but my self pride fills me again as I find a "great" deal at OneStopPhoneShop and after much calculation I placed an order yesterday - THEN:
I SAW THIS THREAD NOT 2 HOURS AFTER I PLACED MY ORDER!!! *cue hair tearing disappointment*...
I am going to call OSPS and cancel my order later today. Then going into a CPW and see what I can do there.
I notice though that on the CPW site, they dont list the P900 with orange anymore, its all on O2 and at really high prices.
And i cant seem to get to the T&Cs on the CPW website to check the minimum time on a tariff thingee. But will have to sort that out...

I can assure you that your perseverance will pay-off. The P900 is a marvel of design and technology. Why not try CPW direct, save yourself a journey to the local shop.

Jah,
Well I had a looksee on the CPW website and they dont have an orange plan - all are O2 and are quite pricey, so was thinking that even tho the site doesnt have Orange anymore, perhaps some of the wshops still have handsets on Orange.

Call 0208 896 5052 / 0208 896 5350 on Monday and ask for CPW Direct (a mail order service). A large number of people here at Esato, including me, have bought our P900s on Orange from CPW Direct. "Caspa" is a Esato memer who alerted us when a stock of 500 P900 units arrived in the CPW warehouse.

I think the reason Orange is off the website is due to the fact that Orange are having major problems providing stock, because I rang CPW Direct last week on Friday & they was unsure as to when they would get new stock in as all was sold out.
Also they would refuse to price match, I must have spoken to about 5 different people before eventually I got through to someone that agreed to price match up to £79.99 on Your Plan 400. They really don’t seem to have a clue how the price match works because the number of times sales reps kept contradicting one another was amazing, so it all depends on who you get serving you.

Jah et al,
Thanks for your help guys, I really do appreciate it - one thing though.. After trawling thru the 9 pages of this thread, I still am not sure if downgrading a price plan on Orange (thru CPW) is 3 months, or 6 months. Is the a definitive answer to this question?
Otherwise I shall give those numbers a buzz tomorrow and price-match up and down their ass, or try to at least.
Cheers fellas (or fellettes - could be girls here)

According to an email I have received from CPW, you can downgrade on orange after 3 months, the 6 month downgrade is for O2 (and the other 2 providers apparently)... There are also reports, and I have been personally informed that it is possible, that you can downgrade in a lesser time than this with Orange... after all, it is called "Your Plan"... difficulties may arise though if you use one of their Tariff matching things, since the sales rep i dealt with was unsure of whether this would affect things - I haven't looked into this since I didn't want a tariff from another network, the orange one suited me ok, although it wont be to everyone' taste.
For those looking for P900's, then just try your CPW store... I had one over the weekend... they were able to offer Orange and O2, and I do believe the rep mentioned Vodafone too... its worth a look, I was told they had loads, probably because they didn't have any on display, whilst they are not as cheap as yer average flip for dummies type phone, although there has supposedly been much re-jigging of the phones between stores to meet demand... its worth a look
