Well, I contacted Sony Ericsson, and was told that my operator (Telenor) uses a newer firmware than R3B. The phone was bought in Norway.

My brother has a T300, where he can delete what he wants (pictures and ringtones). Is every T300 that way? I want to get rid of all the pictures which are just taking up space, but am a bit afraid to use the 12.5/13 sec trick...

My operator (Telenor) has also replaced the Shortcuts menu with a menu of their own, which I find very annoying... Can i get the Shortcuts menu back?

Any service centers for SE for the T316 with R3B in the Americas? Specifically, around the Chicago, Illinois area? |

Well, I went to the sevice center here in Stockholm and hoped for a firware update on my t300. Last time i handed it in was 5th of march this year. But it is still the same R1G calenderless firmware I got.
I guess I will buy a terminator dongle as soon as the warranty has run out (22nd of december).
A friend of mine had a t68m and had to pay the service center 400 SEK (50 $)for the t68i upgrade because he had no warranty left. So maybe that would be possible too if you uppgrade the R1G to R3B. But 50 $ for a calender is quite a lot?
Why can't SE spit out a the firmware for us.
5th of march that is really ages ago in terms of cellular phones.

Are you from Belgium then? Come and say hi in the Belgian thread! About the store > you mean Abelsco?

In the thread about this there have been several posts saying that SE won't release this firmware for the T300 :-( But who knows if they do? Go and ask that store in Brussels (it's probably Abelsco - www.abelsco.be) and post the answer... note: physically it's possible to install the T310 firmware on a T300, but you gotta have connections with someone who works at a SE service point to get this done.
