No idea on how much those paintball guns cost but I presume it costs as much as the real guns, heck even those paintballs costs bout 5-10 pesos a piece

Yes, the new Smith and Wesson X-frame really rocks and their new .500 S&W magnum is a real blaster of a cartridge. Makes my super blackhawk look like a wimp. Hope they can import it here, but then my wife will pester me again as to what I will use it for |

Doc,
hahah! same with me, my girlfriend asked me if i really need all of these toys. (opsss, wait till she reads this!)
i have a friend who had a counter-question for our ladies....
ask her if she needs all those shoes! |
doctabako Joined: Feb 10, 2003 Posts: 286 From: Philippines PM |
I already asked my wife that counter-question before and she tells me that clothes and shoes always need to be color coordinated , also asked her about her jewelry and she replied that they were investments for a rainy day, in other words, you can't win . One has to learn to keep quiet, when this question is asked and or just tell her that its for my collection and you're lucky this is all I'm crazy about, unlike some men

this new X-frame ....what metal is it now? i mean, Taurus' RagingBull's metal wasn't enough. i was able to handle a RagingBull, checked the structure. there was a lock beneath the revolver's swivel, which secures it to the frame. but still, we found a minute crack begining to show up around the part of the revolver that connects to the barrel. this is dangerous. so we sold the unit. i am not saying that this is regular on RagingBulls. my point is ....will this new X-frame hold on to this more powerful cartridge? inasmuch as it is fun to light up huge cartridges... i think we have to max-out on the .44 magnum. for our own safety, lets not take the chance (?). |

check out the other forum, where they discuss if they should change from T610 to the just released Z600 ...there had been arguments about how 'plastic looking' the new phone is. and some just love plastic while others are.... well, sounds too familiar! it's like the argument when the first plastic guns came out in the market! it's like "should-i-buy-plastic-guns-or-what" kind of issue then. |

As far as I can discern from the articles, the x-frame is made of the same material as their stainless N- frame revolvers. the difference being the increased size and weight of the x-frame which they say makes it beefy enough to withstand the .500 S&W magnum cartridge. It also has a locking detente at the crane of the cylinder. The revolver weighs 72 oz as compared to 50 oz for the N-frame model 629 .44 mag. I know it would be impractical to get this revolver since the ammo alone would be expensive if at all available, but I would love to fire one cylinder-full of this baby. Although plastic guns don't impart the same pride of ownership as a revolver or a steel pistol, which are in my opinion beautiful works of art. I am a convert as far as performance is concerned. I just can't get enough of my Glock 30 and HK USP45.

I only found out how recently and its quite easy. All you need is a website, like Angelfire where you can upload your pictures. After which follow the instructions which are found in the BBcode link that is found in the post reply page, which I copied thus...
Adding Images
To add a graphic within your message, just encase the URL of the graphic image as shown in the following example (BBCode is in red).
In the example above, the BBCode automatically makes the graphic visible in your message. Note: the "http://" part of the URL is REQUIRED for the [img] code.
I would be glad to post your pictures for you if you're having problems with this, just email them to me

It seems like you two have your own little world here.
I'd just want to ask your opinion about the HK P7K3.
The .380 being considered as the absolute minimum for personal defense, and at the same time you get to plink with .22LR cartridges - easier for the pocker . ganun nga ba? |

The P7K3 is indeed a versatile and well made pistol, . One thing that isn't very popular with it is that it has the squeeze cocking mechanism found in all P7 pistols that has been shunned by American shooters and has only found favor in some European countries. It is a sound design, though, and the ability to cock the gun with a grip squeeze makes the gun very safe to carry with a round in the chamber. Regarding the caliber, the absolute minimum is a controversial topic and most people will say that the 9 x 19 parabellum/luger(commonly called 9mm) is the bare minimum for pistols and .38 spl for revolvers. Lower than that and the common term for them are called "mouse" guns. As a plinker, the 22 lr is indeed the best as it is inexpensive and a lot of fun, I wouldn't be comfortable with any of the minor calibers as your carry weapon though as there are presently a myriad of launching platforms that are as small as the mouse guns but carry the more potent cartridges.
Nice to see, that you also have an interest in guns, I know we're few here, which I didn't expect at first but I just thought that variety is the spice of life and esato has almost everything for everybody. As long as you and the other esato mods see fit for this thread to continue, we'll continue posting here. |

doc, this news may not be of any significance to our local events, but you'll be glad to know there's another State in the US that just allowed concealed carry.... the state of Missouri. some of my relatives live there and they just e-mailed me the good news.
now if only they would use more GSM cellphones there.
and thanks for the advice on how to post pictures. |

Good news for them, as for us there is now a new rule on the PTT wherein you are only allowed one range and no provincial ranges if you're from NCR. You must be a member of PPSA to qualify for 5 ranges including ranges outside NCR. Damn these people.
One State in the US that I envy is Arizona, which is an OPEN carry state. In fact you're even penalized if you carry a gun and try to hide it. Those people are so lucky.
@jchu2 Don't quite follow what you mean. Why would you want to do that? Are you talking of starting another firearms forum?
BTW its doctabako, not doctorbako, at least I' pretty sure I'm a doctor |
