Screen on the 808 is ok in that regard, but its no where near the iphone in terms of resolution. Color reproduction is also a bit more natural on the iphone.. lcd vs. amoled.. common issue. The resolution.. it doesn't really make that much difference in everyday usage, but if you start reading text for a longer period of time, its more pleasant on the iphone for sure.
On sound quality.. their Symbian phones, yes, they WP phones, not so much. My lumia 900 was no where near the 808, and I am pretty sure its not as good as the iphone 5. I've heard the sound on the 800 is not that good either.. lets hope they can fix it on WP8, but.. i remain skeptical. |

The Nokia Lumia phones arent truly Nokia internally though, their production and components are mostly outsourced, while the Symbians are built mostly within.

I did get to see the new iPhone headphones
At HMV tbh I don't think there worth 32
Tho tbh but one thing that does appeal to me
Is that there not meant to fall out of someone's
Ears as much as the classic headphones!
iPhone headphones generally sound better
Than the iPod headphones I think though
Sure there not as bassy as I would live but
There a lot better than sounding then the iPod

Apple headphones have always been rubbish, quality and delivery is just woeful and for what you pay silly money and get cheap aftermarket quality headphones no thanks!! Otherwise Apples lovely plans will continue and to have a chip embedded into the 3.5mm socket so you cant use other headphones, if not that will be their next plan!! As they have that already with their power connector idiots!!
The best headphones that came with a phone were the Sony Ericsson HPM-70 with the walkman phones. They were stunning and very high quality. I tell you why they are so good, I still use mine from my w810i!! I have bought cheap sony headphones and they crapped out but the extension still worked so I just plug in my old HPM-70's and wow they are awesome!!! I just hope Sony put out good headphones again, their attempt with the Neo V were terrible. I hate them headphones, Just like Apples headphones only worse!!!

I actually doctored mine and attached the ear buds to a longer lead, I also never found better quality (at a affordable price) than my old W810i phones.

After being a bit disappointed with the lack of new features on the iPhone 5, I decided to go for the Samsung galaxy S3. It's a great phone but after using android properly I've decided iOS suits me better. Maybe in a few years time I'll try android again. For now I'm sending the S3 back and will get an iPhone 5 when my 4 gives up.
The whole scuffgate thing is putting me off though, and apples response has made it even worse. They need to make it more durable.

Heh. Just had a little chuckle to myself at Apple's expense. Saw a link on gsm arena and it was to a page on Apples site for other mapping solutions. It wouldnt be so bad for them if the ones they suggested were any good but they are not. Poor actually almost like the poor choice on Nokias store for symbian. Luckily Nokia maps is all you will ever need for symbian.

Nokia Drive is brilliant!! Apple headphones never sound great and I always also thought their iPod touch devices were poorly built too. Anyway for me the best sound I have had from a phone looking back was the w995. The clarity and bass was rock solid and so were the headphones  Anyway we're off topic a bit

^ Nokia Drive is way better than the apple version.. even here in the US nokia's indexing is better, and the UI overall is also more functional.
SE used to put nice headphones in the box.. especially their walkman branded phones. I remeber my W810 and my W610 came with pretty good headphones. I am really surprised that Apple doesn't put a better pair in the box, considering how much they charge for the thing...
dizzybee I suggest you try WP8, before going back to iOS.. I've used both, and iOS feels like a step back, it almost feels like older technology compared to WP7 .. and I assume WP8 will be slightly better.
I don't have this problem on mine ..
the orientation of the frame seems to be wrong quite often..

Ive not had much fun with mobile headphones as much
As you guys I generally think if u purchase ones separately
Then they sound abit better I've got some iCandy ones somewhere
At home they sound a lot nicer than my iPhone headphones
But as the headphones were free with the iPhone I can't
Help but use them, there great for calls I think even though
People think ur abit cuckoo talking to yourself

I love the little bit at the bottom.. I wonder when is Apple going to change the messed up icon as well. It clearly shows a navigation route making a sharp left off a bridge.
I actually burst out laughing when i read that. This iPhone 5 is quickly becoming a total embarrassment for Apple.
