Cheers guys! When i first went to look at the Note II in the shop I was really put off by the size and was steering towards the S4. But now I've had it for a month or two it feels phone size, makes the Galaxy S2 (previous phone) feel tiny haha
Have you heard of Dead Trigger? If you're into gaming you should definitely give it a try, been playing for the last few weeks

Might the Samsung Galaxy S III and Note II pass Android 4.2.2 by and jump right to 4.3?
While we will take this rumor with a grain of salt, it is worth mentioning because it actually makes sense. If this roadmap does turn out to be correct, we can thank the Google Play Edition of the Galaxy S4 for being in the mix.
Tips from Samsung R&D in India are indicating that Android 4.3 update preparations for the Galaxy S III, Note II and particularly the Galaxy S4 are making the 4.2.2 update redundant. Since the Google Play S4 will be the first to get Android 4.3, it stands to reason that concentrating efforts to do the same for the rest of the line would be worthwhile.
Is there a trade off? Perhaps. It might mean that Galaxy S III and Note II users will have to wait longer for any update at all. However, the update should be somewhat at the same time as when the Galaxy S4 gets the nod to receive the Android 4.3 as well. Of course, test builds of 4.2.2 for the Galaxy S III have already leaked, but we have also seen reports that the 4.2.2 update has been delayed due to TouchWhiz.
Assuming that this new TouchWhiz will also be in place with Android 4.3, there is even another bit of innuendo to add to the mix about having these devices leap-frog to 4.3. It is expected that the Galaxy S III, Note II and obviously both versions of the S4 will get Android 5.0. While that whole conversation is all speculation right now, it stands to reason to develop the update from a common denominator, that is 4.3, across the board for Samsung's most popular devices.

Thank goodness I'm enjoying MIUI V5 so much that I haven't even thought about the 4.2.2 update. I can wait a while longer no problem without much distress.

I got a Note 2 arriving Saturday in titainium grey. Didn't like this phone at first but love it now it is a beast and a do it all device. Have become bit fed up lately of Windows phone 8 as Microsoft are too slow and there is just too many bugs on the platform right now. Not been this excited about a phone for ages And please no stupid comments like I'll be bored after a week am sick of them comments when some others on here are worse than I am for phone changing. I came into some money recently so Got it for £359 brand new sim free Amazon

Those who write that kind of comment, "you will be bored after a week", are the ones not owning the Note II.
I have had mine since December and I haven't been this satisfied with a phone, EVER.
When I read a previous post about the potential Android 4.3 update, it didn't strike me until then that my phone hasn't received any update yet

That's awesome Hobbs! You being so quiet is telling that you're thoroughly enjoying the Note2, will you be skipping the Note3?
Bono
Congrats on your Note2, looking forward to seeing your view on it.
All
The Note series of phones seem to be building up quite the loyal following, more so than Galaxy S, although Galaxy S will always have more sales due to it's mass market appeal. As I've said before, the Galaxy S series seem to follow in the footsteps of Nokia's top end Nseries phones while the Note series are following the Eseries, more specifically the E90.

Very nice
I'm starting to wonder if it's worth upgrading every year when you own a Samsung considering how excellent their update policy is, my almost 2yearld GS2 is STILL getting updates and here you have one of last year's flagships skipping a current Android version and going to the next one, could I possibly pass the GS5 and maybe get a Note4 or GS6, hmmm...

I am so satified with my Note 2 that I will be seeing my contract through and skipping the Note 3.Its a long time still to go and something else might come along but at this present moment in time my next phone will be the Note 4.

Tsepz_GP, the S II is still a great phone, wish I had kept mine as a spare
Regarding the Note III, well all I have to say is that I know I won't be able to restrain myself from getting one
