hi all
looking forward to the release of the 4-although dreading what the price would be
id rather have a payg handset and a monthly sim only but if rumours are to be believed its going to cost an awful lot
the waiting is killing me!

I'm not convinced it will cost any more than the previous model, but we'll soon find out.
I used to be impatient too, but I found the trick is to have some distraction, and for me this time its getting the Desire and learning/playing with Android and the apps available for it which generally seems to be a subset of the Apple app store.
But... I have an 8am "personal shopping" appointment at an Apple store on the 24th, so there will be none of that queing nonesense for me

I dont think the camera in any phone is meant to critiqued full size or phone manufacurors should care much about sensor size because: the sensor will always have to be small and compacts will always be better.
for people concerned enough they should buy a small camera not a phone.
IMO they should have made it 8 mp cam due to widesread ignorance of mp count.
I was hoping that Apple would be the company that tried to dispel the megapixel myth since they've been selling more (expensive) phones with lower hardware specs.
A 3MP sensor with the physical dimensions of the new 5MP sensor would have been great. I'm not asking for digital camera quality but due to the silly megapixel race these days mobile phone cameras are just useless unless you're taking pictures in bright sunlight. |

Yes, the waiting is killing me too! The 3GS 16gb was not worth £440 for me, but this one is because they have finally improved the core things like new screen, better battery, faster processor, thinner new look and faster internet connection.
AT&T are going to be selling the iphone4 no commitment for $600 which is around £413. Same price as 3gs at £440 sounds very likely although £400 would be better |

Sorry Miss apples don't come down in price. (They come down a tree)
If you look at history. Apple used to improve their products and stick to the old price.

lol shame i'd like to own one of these newer iPhones,
it's taken apple along time to launch something that may compete
with something on the market today
previous iPhones just seem old now
my sister owns 2x Apple 3GS she didn't know about this new one coming out
