I have successfully analysed the demo tour file from K850i (which should have the best quality/playability ratio for K850i, right?)
Video stream: 262kbps, 25fps and of course 320x240 pixels. Codec "mp4v".
Audio stream: 27.3kbps, 16kHz, mono.

it will be disappointing if 260Kbps is the upper end for smooth playback on the K850. All SE devices currently with 320x240 displays have supported up to 320Kbps. ALL my videos for phone use are ripped at 320Kbps!! What a waste.
ok first thing
@LCARS-Expert ..toje govno(thats shizzle) , it can so do better then that for audio and bitrate
for k850 im puttin my chingching in that it can handle 320 kbps

All I did was analysing the K850i demo tour file. Forgot to write the audio codec "MPEG-4 AAC LC".
I think K850i can handle more too.
Demo tour was created on April 2 2007 (so its not suprising that K850i shown on it has a green ring around camera).
Overall video data rate is 289.83 kbits/sec.
(My K750i can handle up to 200 kbits/sec.)
Does anybody know a good MP4 program (for K850i)? All I have is a converter from Xilisoft and it seems to blur the picture. |

Does anyone know how to change the volume in music playback on the k850i? I have tried the up and down buttons on the side of the phone (the ones that work for this function on the k800i), and this does not work.
Similarly, the volume of the speakerphone used to be controlled by the up and down buttons on the side of the phone on k800i, but on the 850i this does not work.
I am on O2. I have emailed SE with no response yet.

This is a bug on the initial k850i. I also had this problem, restart the phone and you will be able to adjust volume again. Wait for future firmware upgrades. I think it will be a major upgrade just like the k800i last tme. You can also check out the k850i firmware forum under the software section, there it shows you all the bugs the firmware possess. |

Good news!!!
1) USB transfer rate reach 1.8mb/s, average is 1.2mb/s (from my experience
2) Bluetooth transfer rate is 120kbps!!! Thats 3 times faster than k800!!
3) USB charging is able to FULLY MAX CHARGE the k850i!!!~~~
I'm loving my k850 more ^^ |

this is fantastic news, very good to hear. About time they made bluetooth run at something a bit closer to it's theoretical maximum.

Hello All,
Does anyone know how to reset the media browser list??.... i have deleted "Plutomium" audio and "Lookatme!" video and they still appear within the browser but do not play. (corrupted file??). Trying to delete them again results in a "Failed" msg.
Restarting the phone does not work and I cant see the files when browsing to each folder using file manager to manually delete.
Oh, while im it - when you goto the media browser > video > there is a link called "look at me!" - does anyone know how to delete it?? i like my phone to be nice and tidy
k850 is O2 branded.
thanks!! |

Dont know if this has been asked before, but which other model's themes will fit the K850i perfectly? I am getting one soon and just want to download some themes to transfer to my phone when I get it.

any phones with qvga screens..... excluding uiq phones. though dont expect the flash themes to work on it if you get one from a phone.... will just be normal menus.
