Hi all... I'm inviting T310 users as well into this thread. Afterall its T300's lil brother. And in specification almost the same phone. Spred the word.

And now to my question. I am sorry to say that I lately beeing seen post that mostly is negativ to the T300 than positiv. There for I am asking... Is the phone a really good phone? And why is it not that good? I think that the memory issue is everything to this phones success. I love my phone, and I do still believe that many of you users out there, do also. But I think we have to gain forces, write to SONY ERICSSON, to make it possible to delete preinstalled stuff.

When it comes to EMS pictures and those small files for ringsignals, I aint really carying. They så small, that they hardly makes the memory worse. But all that damn colour pics, and themes, and poly... that should be possible to remove. Aint I right? The phone is still our favorite, but we is kinda loosing our patients when it comes to the memory.

The Truth is out there!!!

Updating the firmware just means upgrading the software in the phone. Sometimes they bed new features but most of the time its speed updates.

Ok Everyone for all you people that have a very low ringtone volume and speaker (earpiece volume) I finnally got my phone back. They gave me a new one and it is 10times better. The ringtones are loud like a samsung and the speaking volume is great. So if you think you're phone may be defective i suggest you check it out. SE has a worldwirde warrenty. They gave me a new phone which ones on R1C is used to have R1B. I have also done the master reset/file transfer trick and have come up with 846 free (actually 63 themes and 80 ringtones) which still leaves about 700 free. That's the best i've been able to do but the great thing is I got rid of the t-mobile start up screen, shutdown screen and also the wap services icon is not t-zone.

So i 'm happy for now.. but i wish there was an easy way to do thins stuff like freakin regular deleting would make me happy because they're still stealing 100kb from me atleast. Just in case i count to about 20-24 sec then pull the battery off turn it back on and load all the games etc.. via infrared... then delete all the preinstalled items... You'll keep on getting memory full errors biut keep on going till you delete all 56 pics then nail the ringtones and you shoudl be goood to go.

Best of luck....anybody know how to use the calling card feature on the t300 (i got it setup how to i use the damn card when i call??? the card is also activated)
also i'm looking for a chicken midi ringtone (sound ) and the clocks midi song by coldplay) if anybody got it hook me up.

thanks,

Great thanks....

I'm in a venting mood so i'll b*it*h about my t300. I've just realized that the battery sucks. Why is it so bad compared to my t68i? Eventhough it's the same power 700 mah

Another thing .... why do they have preinstalled items you can't delete. True we've been able to get around the issue kinda..but it's still stupid..whats' the point of selling a phone with a camera that can be used to have photo contacts but only be able to store 15 pics when you can have 250 numbers. Are they stupid??

If this is their mass market phone they're going to piss off a whole lot of people.

Anyways, I'm done for now and by the way I LOVE MY T300!!

Im a real newbie here.
ive got an IR cable and can send and receive whatever I want from my phone, but I sometimes find it really hard to hear people speaking on the phone. Even when the volume is set to 8 its very hard to hear.
Its a Pay as U Go phone fron Orange, Cost me £130 with the camera. its a really cool phone, but the thing thats bothering me (apart from the memory thing) is that I cant hear crap from the speaker, Ive got the ring volume on it loudest, but polyphonic tones are hard to hear.
im gonna take it back down to Orange to see if they can fix it, or send it to SE for me, I love the phone, the cameras decent although the zoom function makes everything look rubbish. Games are Ok I guess.
just speaker.
anyways, l8r guys.

If you put a headset in can you hear very well.. If so it might be a defect. I had mine replaced by SE for free.

Ok guys, my firmware is R1B. I've read somewhere that although this firmware revision give you the option to delete preinstalled games, pictures and sound, they aren't really gone? They are still sitting in the phone taking up memory and when you reinstall the same game again, they just end up taking twice the memory needed. Is there any truth in this?

Is the latest firmware revision R1G and anyone knows where I can get my phone flashed in Gold Coast, Australia?

What exactly is the difference between all these revisions? R1B vs R1G more importantly. I read some post that says the ringtones are loudly, some people deny that. Some says the animated startup logo in R1B is gone, some others they still have it.

Well, long post but I know you guys would help. Thanks in advance.

SE told me over the phone that R1G isn't in Aussie till next week
