I did see a freeware registry editor a while back so I'm sure if you google you'll come up with that

I found that the link ( http://mobile.sky.com/skyapp/ ) for sky remote record that you get texted when you register just gives the message "Unfortunately your phone is not compatible with the Sky Anytime on Mobile application." on both P1 and TyTN II
a bit of googling came up with this link...
http://mobile.sky.com/skyapp/[....]id/SkyMobile_SonyWithoutTv.jar
but interestingly it crashes on my P1 with reason code ETEXT, reason number 12... but works perfectly on the TyTN II as I have managed to view the sky program guide and set a couple of programs to record from my phone at work (confirmed by my wife at home)
great stuff!

mate, so you got a softbank X01HT, how do you feel? i missed the earlier release Dopod 838Pro A.K.A HTC Hermes due to high volume selling! and ran out of stock for some time, before switching to the P990 oh well not a great move, anyway, i had been through lots of mobile phones since, including the ATOM life, but when someone offers me the softbank last nite, my mind running wild again! and here, you are having one
how does it feel??? tell me mate! i am so excited
I don't own a Softbank/TyTN unfortunately. My friend at work owns one. Mostly its in a black case with a few dark metal grey for borders around the screen.
I'd like to upgrade to this & also the K850i. Money is really tight right now though so I don't know.
@Masseur, thats for the carrying in pants pocket response. Helps my decision making process. I wear chino's mostly (casual dress code @ work , some Friday's its jeans day). My jeans are an athletic and loose fit, like Chino's so I'd be ok. |

Hi !
Easy question! With a lot of Palm Applications, the passcode and name of your device i.e. Tungsten_T3 are linked. The name is show when synchronisation is performed.
Is this the same with the TyTn II?
In other words, can I purchase Resko File Explorer before I receive my TyTn II ?
Thanks!

yes. wm aplications serials are almost always based upon you device owner name which is also the name automatically taken for the active sync partnership.
this means these serials are portable from deice to device that you buy making it better and easier than most other phone software which is IMEI dependant

Thanks masseur,
so I will be prompted to give my TyTn II a name.....
so better to choose a name that I can use for when I upgrade to, for example, the TyTn III ..
I have another question, currently I synchronise my W950i with Outlook 2007. Is there any reason why the S-E software and the TyTn II software should not run perfectly with each other?
I don't think that I need to unistall the S-E software....

No reason why they should conflict but they always did on my machine... but just quit activsync or se sync et voila!

Thanks Dicky Snapples !
Got about an hour to wait til it's charged up. I note it says 3 hours on the 'quick guide'
I was wondering about the memory card and yeah, I will RTFM.
When I format it, does Windows create a directory structure - videos, music, contacts etc or is that for me to do ?
I will go back to RTMing now...

that's for you to do...
no directories on a WM card as standard.. unless WM6 is that diff to WM5...

@Masseur,
I'm planning on upgrading to a smartphone, at least until SE ships a K850i like spec'd device with Symbian OS + UIQ3.1 1-Handed.
I really love the Softbank X01HT version of the Hermes, however I've come across a few bad things about it - something like apps are locked and its been hard-set NOT to take certain unlocks well??
Also I'm more partial to the Dopod C730 - love its design! However ppl having major problems with .NET applications not being able to enter text directly but copy/pasting entries made in notepad or memo apps then they can enter into .NET applications. Can you shed light on why this is a problem only with this device (also happens on many HTC S730's)?? Also can the .NET core be upgraded without upgrading or messing with the OS?!
Thanks.
