The only movable part - the slide - feels solid and no wobble.
Got mine from carphone warehouse yesterday. On mine the slider has a little play in it - for example when pressing the button to answer the phone you can feel the slider move a little. A bit disappointing considering the cost of the phone. Was also a little underwhelmed with the package - the cardboard was thin and no case, memory card, cloth etc was provided. On the upside, the AV cables look really nice.
Overall I'm still pretty satisifed with it but really miss the touch screen of my P900. |

if the slider have a little play, thats ok, cos in case u drop the fone, it wont brake, more its get bit more loose. when it wouldnt have play, it would brake easily

I've relented and ordered an Orange one since I need to get my son unlimited texts and orange dolphin 35 is the only one I could find with this, and you only get unlimited from orange direct
but.. they promised me an unlock code right away (if they don't I will return it all) and then I'll debrand
never thought I would take that route but a) my son needs unlimited texts and b) I might as well get something for my trouble
lets see how all that goes

Hi all,
Well all i can say is congratulations to all that already have their N95's and all those that are awaiting delivery. To be honest i am quite shocked at the effect this one device has had on so many.

like you said, the one you got is dodgy. Everyone's else are well built. Sorry that you got a dude one. Maybe you should ask for an exchange and then make a video that show N95 has no creak instead of uploading a video that is non-representative of the real N95.

Mine took about from 2-5min to lock on to GPS signal. Once it lock on in 30secs but I can duplicate this period anymore (maybe weather not so good with lots of cloud cover)

We'll I'd like to thank him for the video - mine is exactly like that. tried another sim free one and it was the same. Tried an Orange branded one (grape colour rear) and it was pretty solid - it definitely didn't rattle when you pressed the buttons with the slider open. As a result, mine is going back to Carphone for an exchange. |

Creaky N95's eh? Thats not creaky. My k750i creaks 10 times as much (even since the day I purchased it).
I'm sure it'll get worse over time anyway, so live with it.

mine on orange is very sturdy. After all the chatter here I made sure it was before leaving the shop!
