No mate. Its £40 a year but you can get it cheaper on the net in places

Right i'll now be spending most of tomorrow morning figuring out how to share my wifi connection with my 360 through my pc.... Like scott said he's done pretty much.. Anyone got a link to a guide or is there one on the xbox site...

@epic clive its easy as pie!
just plug the ethernet cable into the 360 and the other end in ya PC/Laptop, then go to control panel then Network connections, right click on your net connection, click properties, then click the advanced tab and just tick the box which says "Allow other users to connect through this internets connection"

i got a load of stuff my mate printed out when he did his about setting up the ip addresses and stuff... Told me i need a crossover ethernet cable (cos i'm not using a router) so i made one in work. Is that right do you know? I know using the Zune software i can stream stuff from my pc to my xbox now, using the crossover.

you can connect to a wireless or wired router its just mines downstairs so i don't wanna run a 25m cable down there and i'm not up for buying a £60 wireless adapter for my box so this way is easier and cheaper!

think that's the best feature of xbox
the online options, i havn't experienced many connection issues
like to play online along with my friends.
like previous week i couldn't get pass a boss with gow, he helped me along so we killed the boss together at insane difficulty
