I had the exact same attitude - ugly orange, loss of the middle shortcut button etc... But then I tried it. I'm not going back. W800 firmware is a little different, but all the k750 options still remain - the media player is a tad more confusing at first, I trip up on the power up menu that lets me choose between a phone or media player - I walk around for hours before I realise it.
If ever I want to sell it, I'll flash back to the original firmware so that the next person doesn't have to deal with SEUS not updating. I was toying with the idea of leaving some 'naughty' java apps instead of tennis though |

Just a suggestion, instead of hitting the escape key, try navigating your way back by using the standard ".." symbol for previous directory. Also, to save, as many others have pointed out, you need to hit F2.
You are using F4 to edit the file right? F4, make your edit, then hit F2. Navigate back to the root and a pop up yes no dialoge appears. Hit yes, then exit. Restart your phone and bingo, billions of messages. |

New menu icons
Download all files from archive to FS/tpa/preset/system/menu/ (file menu.ml included). note - rename to vista icons.rar
Here are NeonColors.rar menu icons. Thanks to modders from Russia

What are the default folders contained inside the /tpa folder?
I managed to change the pref_store.txt from "/smsdata" to "/tpa". when i restarted the phone, all messages are gone. I want to recover my messages so I copied messaging and system folder under /smsdata folder to /tpa folder. I got all the messages back but then the sms limit is back as well. did I mess up my phone? help!

@arnarn911: If this is so there must be a file in the original SMSDATA location that sets the limit. If so maybe all we need do is find out which one sets the limit and modify it to say 1000. i.e. I believe that once the number of messages exceeds 1000 there is a performance drop.

arnarn911,
you have to copy all the messages in your /smsdata folder into the /tpa folder.
you can find the /tpa folder in FS.
Find /messaging in the /tpa folder. |

I have problem with my K750i - I need some help.
Here is description - what I've done:
First I get USB driver ('x750i - W800i Update Service USB Driver.zip&') from http://www.inside-handy.de/forum/thread.php?threadid=18323
After upgrade my PC with this driver - when requested (Windows announce: New USB flash device found) I can communicate with K750i. FAR plugin starts to work - I was pretty happy.
I look into content of mobile memory and copied it to PC - just to look what is inside - without need to communicate with mobile.
Next step was switching from plugin';s FAR panel to my HDD disc content (that was my BIG mistake) - so I didn't unload loader from mobile memory. When tried to open plugin again I have to repeat procedure with switching mobile off and pressing 'C' key. It was successfull again. This time I unload loader from mobile memory. I switched mobile off and on and ... mobile is dead.
Now I'm unable to use mobile - the dislpay is light on for a while and next switching off. Nothing works.
I can communicate with mobile again - from FAR's plugin side nothing has changed - all folders are the same, but I cannot get my mobile to be alive.
Is the flashing procedure the only way to restore K750i ?
I think that after my mistake - loader stayed in mobile memory - maybe there is another way to restore original booting procedure?
Any tip please.
