FINALLY.
edit: that bezel is abhorrently infuriating.. keep the balance (symmetry all around) but "cut the crust.."

so so so ... there is nothing left to be seen in the official announcement
and the guys who say its beautiful or whatever ...I must say guys comon it's just like Z there is nothing to say wow that's awesome or ... just like summy fans who say wow for GS4 cause gs4 is the same as gs3
the only thing has left is to see how it can compete in cam part and the other parts had been bold till now!
in person I just want good performances in all aspects like XZU's screen improvements...

That one's Thick! I don't know if the pic is tricking us, but just by looking at the pic are we still sure of its ~10mm depth? would've expected a larger sensor with that TBH
It looks solid to me though, it gives me an impression that it's less fragile than XZ

completely off-topic but may relevant in some sort
new report says Samsung has already in developing their own sensor
http://www.gsmarena.com/samsu[....]iere_on_note_iii-news-6645.php
it's pretty much confirm that our new Sony sensor won't make it way to competitor device, as huiyi & ramu posted few months ago.
I wonder who they will copy this time?
Who was doing the sensors in the Lumix phones? Pana? Fuji?
As Pana is giving up n phones, the supplier needs to find a new client, so it could be it.
Also, it could be Fuji, I know it would canibalize the sales of compacts, but hey, it is already the canibalizing it, so why not sell at least the sensor?

yah it def. "Looks" thicker than XZ. maybe that's due to the bigger battery?
yes it looks like XZ in almost every way, but hey, i think XZ is beautiful. so I'm not complaining. I was ready to get XZ when it came out, but I'm glad I waited for Honami
Of course it's easy to say I'll wait for 2014 flagship, but as they say, with technology if you keep waiting for the next big thing, you'll wait forever.
I generally don't change my phone for 4 years or so unless something happens out of my control (i'd still have my x10 if i didn't drop it in water!). I think Honami will definitely serve its purposes for the next 4 years I'm happy with it since it has everything i want and looks the best (to me) out of all the phones available from any manufacturer right now.

GSMarena says it will have a thickness of 8.3 mm.

Agreed man.
It looks very similar to z, but the z was already the best design imo.
The z design "problems" (meaning i did not buy it) for me were:
- flap for charging
- flap for mini jack
- no shutter button.
It sounds like now i have everything i wanted design wise.
Non design related, i also wanted snapdragon 800 inside and a good camera to replace my compact, and it also has it.
It will be very difficult to find reasons not to buy it!!

Does anyone have any information on whether Sony will offer 32GB version of Honami? |

Sure, If for the same form factor and weight they could fit flash in it, they would have. But don't forget Z Ultra is a device that is pushing boundaries of conventional norm. Display size alone is a moot point. Last thing the ZU needed to be was large AND heavy, or large AND thick device(therefore massive in its true meaning). Despite all the doubters out there, it really is portable, despite its screen size, because it is light and thin.
It is like saying to someone on a diet, that having one singular scoop of ice cream is not going to make you balloon.
Extremely bad analogy! Having Ice Cream is fine during a cheat day/meal as long as you don't abuse it. Depending on one's workout/training regiment, it can also be an excellent recovery food because of it's carb and protein content. By the way, not really attacking you, just want to let you know because this is a common misconception to those who don't really know much about dieting and nutrition.
Sorry for being off topic.

+10000
Completely agree with what you say. Minus the 4 year upgrade though, the longest I had a phone for was 2 years. Though Honami might actually last me 4 years since it does offer everything I want in a phone, unless of course some sort of freak accident happens or SONY just wows me with their next product. |

32 GB is a must for me. Plus I'm not liking the transparent top and bottom bars... |
