I second that, temperamental buggy POS. Put the SIM from the vodem into your C905 and use that as a modem. It'll startup faster and be more stable.

So ive been thinking...
Which phone would you choose? Nokia N79 or Samsung INNOV8?
I really like the camera on the samsung, so decent! And the music quality is raved about in all its reviews. But im told that the N79 has really improved on the music quality from the N82? And the N79 is cheaper.
Im looking for decent camera and decent music quality in a phone. The lack of xenon is not a big deal so much. I now own a sony mp3 player, so im going to be really fussy about the music quality but at the same time i want to replace it with a phone. |

I reckon the INNOV8 is a really nice all rounder, I would have gotten it had it not cost so much (and had it not been samsung )

I did a N79/Innov8/C905 comparison on Esato's phone section and to me the C905 wins easily. N79 styling is average and Nokia UI needs alot of work IMO. The screen on the Innov8 is impressively large but misses on some features I would use like RSS and Voice dialing/Voice memo. I like the 8GB internal memory but the large screen hints at an iPhone type touchscreen it doesn't have. The C905 scores on all sorts of levels and it's a Sony Ericsson - a hard combination to beat.
According to the SE 09 rumours thread, there may be a Walkman version of the C905 coming... That may be worth waiting for. I'd also consider the W902 in this situation and would definately have try all of the above before buying.
Also, the obvious question - have you tried an iPhone? While there are some glaring feature ommisions, the downloadable Apps are becoming a serious force to be reckoned with and the iPhone media player is second to none. Unfortunately the camera is truly horrible but I've just spent the last hour watching Coldplay clips on Youtube and at times like this the iPhone truly shines.

Yeah its really hard to pick one!
For me theres no point buying C905 when i can get much more features for a similar price (N79, INNOV8, LG Renoir even). The C905 is very expensive for what it offers in comparison. The xenon flash would be the only advantage for me personally.
INNOV8 is nice, luckily it runs on Symbian which im familiar with. I would never consider the original samsung UI it makes me angry!
And now that ive had another look at the competition, ill be throwing the LG Renoir in the mix too. Its video is actually decent, to be honest im not so into nokia or samsungs video quality, looks ok but nothing special like LG. Im very wary of the music quality though. Anyone have any idea to what itd be like? Camera is great, similar to C905 but sharper.
About the iphone - i have played around with one, although i just hate anything Apple! Id be more interested in the LG Renoir to be honest, 8mp camera, flash, decent video.

Hey guys, whadya think of the new announcements at CES eh? The C510 looks interesting, the W508 stylie and well equipped, but I'm lovin' that W715! Just the fine tuning the W705 needed IMO, and I like the red detailing on black too. I hope this is coming to NZ. It'll clash totally with the W705 which SENZ has already committed to but I'm sure I know which one VodafoneNZ will prefer to release here...
@yea g
I'm working all weekend but I have Monday off when I'll be picking up a bike frame with a custom paint job and graphics at long last. On the downside my Laptop turned out to have a fried motherboard and finding a replacement is proving tough... Buying a new laptop is not part of the plan ATM either.

The part I like most is the new C905 firmware

I like that too, it says to me that SE recognize the impact Apple have made on the marketplace with firmware updates that add new features not just bug fixes. It seems SE have taken a few cues from Apple and we should see even more exciting new models next year as the global economy improves.

Compaq Presario V2020 AP with Pentium M 1.6 Ghz processor and 2 x 1 GB SODIMM RAM and 40 GB IDE HDD.
Nearly 4 yrs old now but still very usable if I can source a motherboard.
