Hey can someone help me. I want to send someone a txt message in usa in california Orange County but i dont know what the international prefix is And he didnt knew it too. We were tryin it but it didnt work out :-S |

When you call to the US from abroad it is 001 then the area code 909 then the number .... ... Or you can try +1 the the area code. From the us to abroad it is 011 the country code 46 for example etc.

Is it then With or Without the area code? I tried every option but my txt does not send to him. And he cant send a message to me too! Dont know whats wrong Because i always send int txt messages all my friends are studyin abroad... |

Check with the network provider. International access has to be activated. Most the times this activation is free.

+1,then area code,then the number. Works for me,activation is similar to having ur mms activated.

Here at my end, I just ADD the number 1 before the mobile number, no more the + sign . . . I frequently send SMS to my Uncle who resides in San Ramon, California.

@janet - Better contact your (local) network provider. If the message is that important and still have no other recourse, contacting them thru/via their email addy is the fastest way . . . for now.
