Screen size is 5.7 only ratio is not standard.
They can make the ratio closer to 16:9 by slimming the left and right bezels, but it won't be noticeable coz the top and bottom bezels is the main issue now. maybe they can go from 18.5:9 to 18:9

Xajel, I think you are using the wrong phone. You should photoshop this phone and increase this phone's STB ration to 79%.
Please photoshop this phone. I'm not good at photoshop.
5.5 inch 16:9 ration phone with 78-80% STB ration.

Honestly, really wish they would keep a 16:9 ratio and no round corners(!). After using my S8+, really dislike the round corners and the tall aspect ratio. They already have the ability of removing the side bezels with the XA series. They just have to work on the top and bottom bezls. Do hope the Premium replacement would come with a bigger display, wouldn't mind a 6 inch. This rumor is really making me consider cancelling my Pixel 2 XL order, but I'm almost at the breaking point of tolerating my S8+. |

If you absolutely need a phone at this moment, Pixel 2 XL might be your best choice, provided that you have already pre-ordered at this point. Or else, god knows when stock will be back and how long the wait is. Mainly because Samsung might've bought the entire first batch of the S845, Sony may have to release the new phone around mid year like they did with the Premium. |

Yesterday @adida said the device has imx400.
Imx300 was used inside flagships during 3 semesters.
So, this is 3rd semester.
I would not be suprised if it is like the " XZ1s" instead of Premium.
A Premium in september would be better.
Newest cpu, maybe in-screen FPS, new sensor.
Would be weird a new Premium with imx400, then Compact and regular with new cam
It is just a opinion, I have no idea what goes on there.

I know it is the XA1 plus. I just wanted to see what 5.5 inch 16:9 aspect ration with 78-80% STB ration phone looks like.
If the phone looks like this with element of the leaked concept "Y" design then I really hyped for the next Xperia flagship.

Somehow I think that new sensor for next Premium device
still based on IMX400 family, with some key elements upgrade
and then keep IMX500 for next generation of 5G device instead
timeframe for new sensor is roughly 18-24 months, shall not precisely 18 months
