LG has nothing compared to xperia Z. Xperia Z UI,camera, audio and build quality is much better than HTC. So, currently, Xperia Z is the best for 2013. Next.

Looking at the LG speclist i beg to differ, its on par with the Z, don't be a blind fanboy.
WRT Z's UI, Camera, Audio and build, im man enough to admit i jumped the gun as the Htc One was only unveiled a week ago, so we're still seeing prototypes and i shouldn't be drawing any conclusions now, but for you to straight up claim that the Z is simply better, thats pretty immature, unless you have both phones already? Do you?
Z is definetly not the best  not with that display, and im also hearing its UI isn't that smooth, typical Sony smartphone.

Pesonally I am an Xperia Z fan, and am rather annoyed Vodafone apparently still haven't received stock so I am unlikely to see the phone before the weekend, let alone my headphones.
The sound from the speaker is poor and as I rarely use it I don't see this as an issue. So it's not a deal breaker for me but definitely the one area where I feel the phone is compromised however there are reasons for this. I am sure the ZL will perform better on this front.
I haven't had the pleasure of taking a call on the handset so would love to know the quality and loudness of this. Very important for someone who uses his phone for 30-40 hours a month just for calls!!!
I have a friend who uses a Galaxy S3 and on Bluetooth it is clear but when using the handset, they sound very muffled at times.
The other answer I am looking for is the performance of the handset mid-call. iPhones I have used, along with those of friends experience unceremonious cut-offs mid-call. Personally I think it is down to dodgy hand placement and cutting off the signal from the handset, any guidance on this would be appreciated. I note I am in the UK and the networks in other countries perform differently so understand it will be quite subjective.

Well, the problem with the Z is, that it appears to be a super flagship phone but doesnt deliver what is promised!

super HD Screen, doesnt look like it at all
not so good call quality
All this based on the judgement of many users who have had the Z, like our King james here in the Forum, who is not a Sony basher at all.
It seems Sonny wanted to reach the smartphone throne to fast and hastily.
I for one will wait for the ZL, Htc one, Apple or Samsung now. But the Z? nah...... |

I beg to differ. The screen is amazing when viewing images and video. You can't judge the screen by how it looks when looking at a dodgy coloured theme.

I don't know, I should just get used to the fact people will always whine, no matter what.
As far as Sony has it's problems, every single manufacturer has them.
The problem is the amount of SPAM here is enormous. People don't collect the data which is available
through internet, they just whine because one person is whining.
I don't get it, maybe there are only kids here?

I went to a Sony kiosk earlier this afternoon and was finally able to get my hands on this device.
I'm impressed! Screen is fantastic. I was worried reading all these comments about the screen being washed out etc. Not anymore! And viewing angle is actually great. So I don't know what the fuss is all about all this time.
I also compared the screen with my Galaxy S3, and the only difference is Xperia Z has got a cooler tone overall (most apparent when displaying white colour).
Browsing the homescreen, app drawer, and other menu is really snappy. Changing themes is a breeze.
I'm getting this phone when it comes out here. So excited!
Ooh! Almost forgot!
Does anyone know if we can have multiple text (or even image) clipboard? Is there a way to access the clipboard? I use that a lot on my Galaxy S3 but couldn't figure out how to achieve the same thing with this phone.

What on earth are you on about? Evidence? I havent been shown any that contradicts what i say, one person did say the Z had sold 500,000 units in the 1st week in Japan, that person never did show evidence and was soon contradicted by a report that said it had sold 140,000 in the 1st week, that was the last bit of evidence i saw of anything.

True, its like the Z is trying too hard to be a "Jack of all trades", but its doing nothing in paticular well, only Samsung and Nokia can build a "Jack of all trades" type phone that is great at everything it does e.g. GS3.
Has Sony said anything more about Android4.2 for this phone? Being the 1st 2013 flagship to be announced it should technically be among the 1st to get it, but this being Sony you just never know...

mate, you´re taking this all too seriously and personally! Im not your enemy! Im here because Im anxiously waiting for a new phone and wishing it to be a Sony as I generally like this company!
But a Forum is to exchange opinions, likes and dislikes and you shouldn´t insult people who dont share your worship - like sympathy for Sony.
I for one would be very happy if the Z is the great device it is supposed to be. I´ve had it in my hands and for 600€, one has the right to be a 100% convinced.

Man, Xperia T is more than enough for crappy S3... Z is meant to go head to head with S4... And sadly S4 cam will get its ass kicked by Z, end of the day... IMO, Sony or Nokia can build such a phone that would be PERFECT in every way... Sammy's no match for it...
For screen, you're all seeing the negative side only... But there're plenty of people who say that screen is spectacular.. You'll never see that... That shows your ignorance... (Sony's fault's there too for providing bad quality screens)...
And Cam... You'll show Phone arena as source to claim Z's cam to be bad... Why don't see Blunty,eprice, frandroid's comparison videos & pics... Where Z beat N-2,Droin DNA,Nexus, iP-5... Even the link I posted shows how Z is better than One... IMO, Z's right next to Lumia-920... You'll never see that too...
Call quality... If you're talkin' abt loud-speaker, it's bad, that has to be accepted.... But water-proofing is the reason... And the normal sound quality is great... Refer GSMArena's review, they've called it to be EXCELLENT... It's even better than S3 when Head-set's plugged in... You won't see all these, but would rather start bad-mouthing abt a great gadget for no reason....

The xperia Z is indeed a super flagship phone.
13MP camera.... it is the best camera to date (bar pureview) giving good still image and best video recording.
super HD screen... it is the best looking screen that I've seen.
call quality.... I don't know how you define good.
and there are more than these that make the phone the best smartphone of 2013 (till this date).
ohh yeah... I've been using Galaxy S3 for almost three months and to me, its a crap phone. I don't like it. Going to change to Xperia Z very soon.

Only Phonearena mentioned that call quality isn't good. No other site has said this. Ambroos owns Xperia S, T and Z. Xperia S is amongst the best as far as call quality is concerened (better than Galaxy S3) and Z he says is better than S. So, go figure 
BTW are GSMArena Samsung fanboys or what? S4 isn't even out and its No.1 device in terms of daily hits GSMArena gone crazy. How can they include a phone that isn't even announced in that table.

@Random... That's not their fault... They keep a page for rumored phones with rumored specs... If people see it everyday, the views will be counted & updated... I've seen the page of S4 a month before itself... Now S4 announcement is around the corner & people are eager to see what it offers... SO it's getting more views than other phones... This is no wonder... This is what happened when Z & ZL press shot was released.. They made it to top-10 all of a sudden... GSMArena has nothing to do with it... They only count & update... For example, see ranking based on voting, Z is number one cos it's been released & S4 isn't listed there... There's where GSMArena will add S4 after it's released....
