Guys, what are your thoughts on Sony's shift to Vanilla Android for the 2013 line up ?
Is this definitely whats going to happen? I think it would be a shame to lose the Xperia feel, after all isn't that the whole point of buying an Xperia, something that stands out from the crowd..., but as long as they are able to have the Sony apps and such to download, this transition should be easier....im all up for updates, but if you ask me, someone that just buys a phone and expects updates shouldn't have bought the phone in the first place. buy the phone as is and any additional updates are welcome extras...
btw, thanks randomuser for all your info this year, its been a great read...here's to more of great sony phones to come... |

Relax people, it will still look and feel different. Sony apps and Sony launcher/theme will stay.
And yea, we are discussing a new rumor about Yuga in the chatroom (Exclusive ) .

Can you make a complete (rumored) specs sheet of Dogo? |

So @random, can you explain Sony with Vanilla Android a little bit more, if they will keep the UI, then how it should be Vanilla ?

SO I AM GUESSING THIS IS HOW SONY WILL BE GIVING US THEIR UI

I've had the V for two days and the screen has a very strange yellowish tone, the whites are slightly yellow. The sensor in lens doesn't make any huge difference and viewing angles are poor. Another failed screen by Sony. |

It's not official app from Sony, and I guess it will be dropped from play store soon duo to trademark and patents
Thought I love it and it only needs dock screens, dock background and the ability to change icons in the dock

Pre Production?
Its IPS so I fail to see how veiwing angles would be poor. In fact its the same display tech used on the One X (SLCD2) if I'm not mistaken.
Meh, its not like it matters that much any more, given that the V will be overshadowed by the Odin and Yuga pretty much as soon as its released. |
