as i said earlier the se service centers advise you to get your phone flashed by them.. they dont use seus but emma.. its deletes everything on your phone so every corrupted file gets deleted.. when the new fw is out i'll definately let service centre flash my phone..

Hi,
Long time reader and finally my first post
May I ask experts here best practices when updating to new firmware.
Sorry, I'm confused.
Steps:
1. Backup (extra= Sync Outlook + Backup contacts/task/calendar to card)
2. Master Reset or Format Internal Disk ?
4. Update firmware thru SEUS
5. Restore or ... ?
6.
Question:
What's the difference between master reset and format internal disk?

I just update my phone via SEUS but i reinstall everthing on the computer and flash it again with the same firmware(continue anyway) and my phone works great now no more self-restart. Why do you think they have an option to continue anyway if they did not update some of the firmware that is the same(R3B01)??

the option to "re-flash anyway" is so that, any errors that might have occured during a previous firmware update can be corrected.
The purpose of version numbers is to show that there are some changes!

I can't "reflash anyway" with SEUS because when the message "your phone already has the latest..." is displayed there is just an OK button... With my P910i I had a continue anyway option... |

is it just me or is the excitement about a new firmware for the p990i a bit odd. After all we are anticipating so much mainly because we hope the phone finally will work as advertised!! You'd think it was a new Star Wars film coming out!! |

Question,
EMMA is aviable for home usr? I understood that is a platform used by beta testers, developers and service centers of SE.
Is an adr to tryit?
Can you provide more detailes about this subj?
