Hey guys,
Well . . . Airtel nearly had us right there for a week , didn't they? I am glad everything is back to normal now. I really had some memorable experience arguing with the cc guys this entire week:) . I am on net on phone subscription and i was also affected by this problem. Initially the cc told me that http mode will not work anymore even for nop subscribers and nop subscribers are strictly restricted to wap mode only. But the recent se phones like W550i can access gprs only via http mode . Moreover Airtel seemed to have set the filter on wap 2.0 xhtml sites also. So only a few wap 1.1 sites were working for me. It took me one hell of a time to explain this to the cc morons and i dont think they understood it anyway. I finally gave up and subscribed for mobile office payin 375 bucks. . . . Only to find that the trick works again:) . Anyway i dont regret for payin Airtel since i ve been using their services for free for a very long time:) . Hope the trick works for others also now .

@keralalites

aGain I'm askin a info from u guys,
If I bring a SIM from Kerala, can I easyrecharge that? I want MO in that. I had a talk with Airtel Kerala agent yesterday. He said that MO costs 270+ per month & 2000 for a year. But he was not sure about easy-recharge. So I'm asking u guys. I have a friend in Kerala. He agreed to easy recharge my account monthly from there. So does it will work? And most importantly, does MO works while roaming?

Plz reply...I would be very thankful to you.

@alan if u r getting a sim from kerala u can use it any where only prob is ur call rates will be charged in roaming there wont be ne prob in using MO at all u can easy charge MO for 274rs or 2000rs in ur place or ne where in india but if u r in kerela u can recharge with 250rs coupon both 274 & 250 have 1 month. Alan if u r planning 2 use ur sim solely 4 net access then make the sim lifetime.

Hi people,

As discussed about the 100.1.200.99 trick here .. I seek some help.

I am in Bangalore and have activated airtel live .. and tried the seting but dint seem to work.

What I found out was that airtel has its own proxy server at that address/port... Shouldnt we use a different proxy add for tunneling accross airtels proxy server ?

If yes, then that proxy address has to be different .. If anyone is aware of it .. or have solved the problem somehow .. lemme know ..

Aloha
